Camarillo emerging as Pennington target http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...ns-camarillo-090409,0,5939646.story?track=rss
Our offense is best right now with Cam on the edge and Bess in the slot. I see nothing wrong with rotating Hartline in there to give Greg's knee a rest, but I expect Greg to be the starter on opening day (as I have all through camp, I might add).
What do you mean emerging. Thats all Pennington threw to before he got hurt. I hope this vanilla playcalling stays in preseason because we wont make the playoffs scoring 14 PPG.
I don't think our offense can be too flashy with Pennington. He's a little too smart for that. Id imagine if he sees a receiver who he knows he has a 65% chance of completing a pass to, but also sees a a TE for 5 yards that he KNOWS is a completion, he'll take the TE every time. It's just who he is and how he plays. Then again, our running game has looked pathetic in preseason, so until that gets going, everything we do will be awful anyway.
I suspect they were limiting Cammy in preseason because of his knee and they already know what he's capable of. I'm glad Hartline got the reps though, would like to see him develop into another solid possession receiver for us. Would have liked to see more of Turner with the first string though, he seems a good bet for us in the Red Zone.
Shame on those who doubted the skills of MR. cammirrillo, some saying he would be cut, released or traded. Ill tell ya why i said he would eventually be the starter again..Its because i dont underestimate the mans game....i think that some look at him and see a slow white guy with good hands..that would be a mistake.
