Call of Duty: Black Ops

I hope there is a good demo. I'm on the fence about this one since the last one made me rage so hard. Although I heard they are taking out stopping power, danger close, and some of the other perks. I also heard they are using a credit system to unlock weapon attachments so you don't have to use the red dot to get the holo, etc. You can just buy the one you want.

Been pimping this game to everyone I know. Will be the best COD yet. Hopefully after people will realize what I've been saying all along, Infinity Ward blows.

i just watched the video that is on the XBL dashboard. check it out if you havent. this games multiplayer looks like it will be amazing!

They may blow now with people leaving the company but there wouldn't be a COD or MW without Infinity Ward.

Call of Duty 2 was so awesome that I gave Infinity Ward some leeway. Modern Warfare was also pretty awesome. I think they just got too big for there britches and did what they wanted for MW2 and as fun as it was the first few months, it tanked hard (IMO) when all the exploits and unbalanced weapons and perks were found out.

While that's true, I've never been a huge fan of the COD series. MW1 was pretty good. MW2 is one of the worst multiplayer games I've ever played. I have a feeling Black Ops will be the best COD yet.

Sounds about right to me. Had a blast with MW2 the first month. After that, hit me like a brick how awful the game is and switched to BF:BC2.

haha, yup. Right about the time everyone unlocked the akimbo 1887's :) I also switched to BC2 for awhile. Then Red Dead, now I'm probably going to hit the Halo's again until Reach comes out.

But since this game is made by Treyarch i'm not expecting it to be very good. They made CoD2:Big Red One, CoD3, World at War... the 3 worst CoD games made. I don't see the trend breaking.

That looks more addictive than ever.

I disagree... So far, information that has been revealed is all good. The limited gameplay I've seen looks good too. I think Black ops could be a winner.

Besides, It can't be worse than the horrible MW2.

Looks like the perks leaked. There is no more stopping power (thank ****ing god). Looks like there will be some interesting combos. Stopping power was way too dominate and made the game stale.

There are familiar faces such as lightweight, ghost (cold blooded), Hardline (HL pro is different though). One interesting thing is that the tiers are mixed up. There's a couple of old perks (Hardened is now FMJ), and some new ones. Although some pro abilities are "classified."

I think I'll be running Ghost, Ninja, and I'll mix up the tier 2 perks. I might go with steady aim. Always loved that perk, but never could use it because I would be without Ninja. The sound whoring is too prevalent not to use it.

I agree with this. I think the best thing I've read about the game so far, is how they changed the customization system. A currency system where you can unlock what you want is much better than the old system imo. Can't wait for this and MOH.

IMO, World at War was better than MW2. IF the weapon balance was better in World At War (an issue in all FPS) I would have preferred it to MW1. I thought the maps were great and the game was really smooth.

With them getting rid of "stopping power" the weapons better be more realistic then. If I hit someone with a PSG1 from a couple of hundred yards he better die, regardless of where I actually hit the guy.

I've yet to understand the hate for WAW? I thought it was a great game, and infinitely better than MW2. Zombies is much funner than Spec Ops too.

Zombie mode was beast. I'm looking forward to it. One great thing about MW2 was it expanded the community. More people to play zombies with on B.O.

After just completing the rage fest know as COD3 on veteran I wouldn't hold out your hopes. Maybe Treyarch know how to do multi-player and just suck donkey balls at campaigns as both COD3 and COD5 on veteran where rage inducing experiences. Getting shot through cover, getting pushed out of cover by the cover itself, spamming grenades, terrible checkpoint system etc.

WaW is my least favorite CoD of all, maybe tied with CoD3. I played CoD2 and 4 professionally for years on PC. So there were a lot of little things that bugged the **** out of me. The main thing was the maps, and the handling of the guns and their accuracy compared to CoD2. The best part of WaW I would say is is just the graphics.

Everyone says "WaW is the best CoD because of Zombies!" oh yea? well zombies have been around since CoD1 where the hell have you been.

I loved Spec Ops... my roommate and I spent many hours 3 starring those.

Yup. I still haven't beat the MW2 campaign. No intention of doing that either.

Any preorder deals with this one thru Amazon?
