Random PFF #'s. Tanny #8 QB. Go Tanny! Hartline #6 WR. Martin 34th tackle NOT for pass blocking which is a positive 2.6 overall...but his negative run blocking. Clabo is 55th. As the RT woes continue. Pouncey #8 and Incog #18. Our only solid OL. Jerry is 39th (Pick it up Watkins!) Clay is 40th....but PFF has a real hard on for blocking. So despite Clay being 4th in yards....he gets smacked for no blocking ability. Lamar Miller dead last at RB. Ouch. DT is 29th. Brent Grimes is our best player says PFF. #1 CB!!!! 7.2 overall. Wake and Jordan are 7th and 15th. Clemons injury got to him. First bad game. Jones had his first positive game coming up with 3 stops, a qb hit and that wicked hit on Julio to cause an incomplete. Special teams superstars Don Jones #6 special teamer and Sturgis #2 kicker after Prater. A whopping 12.1 for Sturgis. Fields keeps on struggling at 25th. LB's....you don't want to know. And our DT's slid due to being gashed all day and playing out of position.
If Clay can keep up the pace he's on for yards and catches and add a few TDs, I'll forgive him for not being the world's greatest blocker. Thats not his game. Hopefully Sims can grow into that role.
Here is the ratings on all the first round picks by PFF by where they were picked: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/09/25/first-rounders-in-focus-week-3/
I think at this point The badger is in the lead for rookie of the year honors..Sheldon Richardson is right there as well...Jordan, Richardson and Mathieu, my three favorite defensive players in the draft..lets hope our boy crushes them.
Still can't believe Star Lotulelei fell that far. That's who I would have taken in my simuldraft. Not a need, but best available talent. And it's hard to hold someone up to the standard of whether they filled all a team's needs when you only give them the draft and nothing else.
Agree. Star with our original pick was who I wanted with that pick more than anyone. Jarvis Jones #2.
