Pass to establish the run. Remember that? What a joke.
Anyone who believes in that is one of two things - an on-paper theorist who doesn't understand real football, or someone who has an excellent offensive line.

I don't think you can put this game on Flores. Tua went out of the game early and Brissett has no skill set to win NFL football games. The receivers he's throwing to are overrated as well although beloved by many people here. Devante Parker is a borderline #2 receiver. Albert Wilson should have stayed home. Preston Williams will never be an impactful player on an NFL team. Jakeem Grant is a return specialist.

The defense played well considering what they were handed.

I don't think Flores is the problem at this point. As I said earlier his biggest flaws thus far are his OC decision and offensive staff choices in general during his tenure but especially this year. I think the bigger problem here is the talent on the offensive side of the ball. Mainly the OL and then the QB position is still very much up in the air IMO. It's far too early to close the books on evaluating Tua at this point; but so far we've seen him struggle to grow and live up to the potential and we've seen Fitz look far better, and you can even argue to an extent Brissett has here today as well. However, the key here is we've also failed to establish an offense as a whole because our OL is constantly a disaster.

I mean, just look at Buffalo destroying our OL right now with pressure after pressure, sack after sack. You can't blame a coach for that; especially the head coach. That's a lack of talent. These guys just aren't good on the OL. 3 straight plays!!! Not a single guy on the OL should collect a paycheck this week.

Any talk of hot seat is beyond premature

But the offense can't continue to be like this. There is enough talent there to at least be solid.

I really wish Stephen Ross would sell the team and get the hell out of our lives. He has no clue how to pick a coach or establish a winning franchise.

How many years are we going to talk about talent until these receivers actually make an impact? I've heard for years now about how great Devante Parker and how great Preston Williams is going to be.

    Enough is enough.

When Tua was rolling to his right last week and stumbled and then tried to throw across his body while getting hit, my first thought was, "Well, that answers my questions about whether he's the answer or not."

It would be fitting since it's 28-0 and they're still taking deep shots. I would too though if I was them. It's our job to stop them and we haven't. We deserve this, but if something was to happen to him just because of the nature of the game... that's on them for calling the game this way.

He isnt it… been saying it since before we drafted him… i even said mac jones will end up being better than him when tua was in front of him IN alabama… and i got labeled a hater..

It was such an easy eye test… now we are the team who passed on Herbert for Tua.. wasnt a fan of Herbert in college either but he sure shut me up

Same feeling here and the injury today has me thinking Tua won‘t cut it unless he get‘s Tannehill conditions and even then I think his body won‘t hold up. Grier is on the hotseat for me, not impressed with what he did so far…

Miami isn't winning a game with Brissett at quarterback. The faster Tua gets back the better chance they have.

I'm with you on Flores at this point. His inability to get a competent offensive staff though is extremely concerning.

As for the receivers. I'm with you on Wilson, Grant and Williams. JAG's right there. Parker.. I'm a bit borderline on. He's got skill and ability; he's a bit inconstent though, but he's a good option to have. Waddle is good. Fuller likely will prove to be a nice addition too if we can get him on the field.

Tua though; I'm not sure he's trending in the right direction at this point. We clearly saw the difference last year between him and Fitz on the field. In all honesty; to be expected with the difference in experience between the two. To me though today; Brissett showed better pocket awareness than Tua as well. It's still far too early to make a call on Tua IMO; but currently it's not looking good. The gameplan as a DC against him right now is pretty simple. Pressure pressure pressure like we saw today. Make him beat you. He hasn't proven to be a threat yet to anyone; he's just crumbled under pressure like many young QB's do. I feel he has the ability and mental approach to overcome it he just needs experience and a complimentary offense with a run game which we clearly don't have because we have no OL; which obviously affects him in the passing game as well. Bottom line to me... It's far too early to make a call on Tua; and we will likely have another Tannehill situation on our hands because we'll fail to actually build a competent OL and offensive unit around him. As an organization we haven't learned a damn thing from Ryan Tannehill.

I told a buddy before the session id trade Tua for Mac straight up. Whoever made the decision to draft him over Herbert needs to be show the door. Even IF he could prove that he’s capable of playing at a high level, I don’t trust that he’ll ever see a 17 game season all the way through.

I knew he wasn't the answer before we drafted him!
These idiots get paid all this money to evaluate talent and u draft a small average athletic Qb, that made a name for himself throwing 5 yd slants to 4 future number 1 wrs coming off a major hip injury.
    It's simple stupidity!

Preston Williams isn't meant to be this teams #1 or #2 or #3 receiver so I don't see him as a relevant point. They would have to be pretty devoid of talent to get shutout and they aren't.

Reading the posts here you would have thought Tua played the whole game and not two series. And that Jacoby Brissett is a serviceable quarterback.

The more I see of that hit Tua took.... it just wasn't that vicious. You have to expect your QB to take a couple of those in most games, and if Tua can't withstand that? He just isn't durable. The red flags were there all along.

I'm all for the firing of Grier immediately. Total failure to build the OL, and the wrong pick at QB are more than reason enough to show him the door. Give Flores the rest of the year and 2022 to show actual improvement -though not having a good QB is going to hamper him big time. Such is the life of an NFL coach.

What are the odds a Watson trade is back on the table? I fear Miami making a desperation move there. With all the red flags Watson would come with, you can't give up multiple first rounders for him.

Tua was Ross' pick. That was not on Flores or Grier. Flores was saddled with an undersized, left handed, Tiffany QB in a hospital gown. Flores' only failure was not being able to build a team that could compensate for him. We tanked and then missed on Herbert and Mac Jones. The clown show continues.

I think the concern with Tua is that he again looked like a deer caught in headlights in his limited action. Most of that is blatantly on the OL letting free rushers in; but without knowing who's responsible for the OL calls up front it's hard to pinpoint blame there. The first sack to me was the concerning one, coming right in his face, he looked to that side, should have seen the free rusher coming, but then shifted his eyes/head to the middle of the field then got smoked. That's textbook lack of pocket presence IMO. Now maybe he saw the blitzer and thought the LT or RB should pick him up, we don't know that obviously, but you can't just stand still. Brissett faced the same pressure when he got in, but was able to make some moves and make some things happen. Maybe that's where the thought process is coming from for some. Also; don't forget, if it wasn't for some awful drops we had the chance of going into halftime with what shoulda been 10, maybe even 13 points.

On Brissett; he isn't the answer to anything. Never has been; never will be. Team was obviously all in on Tua by passing on fan and locker room favorite Fitzpatrick coming back in favor of Brissett. That clearly signaled this is Tua's team now. Anyone thinking Brissett is a better option is fooling themselves.

It's easy to sit back now and say see; told you tua is soft! he got hurt! he's fragile! He took sacks... He's awful! etc. etc. Sky is always falling after a game like today. I think the bing concern for so many negative Tua posts is the fact that we're not seeing and progress and improvement from him. In the limited action we've seen from him he's looked very much the same QB as he was last year. However I believe it's important to note that our OL appears to be far WORSE than last year as well and that's a MAJOR issue no matter who is under center and it makes evaluating the QB that much harder. So far; it's not looking good for his trajectory.
