Three months ago, Anthony Barr played in his first game as a linebacker. On Saturday, he was fielding questions about being a possible first-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft. It has been that kind of season for the UCLA defensive standout. After ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper listed Barr on his "Big Board" in its last update, Barr's stock seemed to gain momentum, as teams continue to dream of his potential as a pass rushing linebacker. http://www.ocregister.com/sports/barr-380105-mora-draft.html
IDK, I think once he gains more weight he has as much or more potential as a 43 DE than 34 OLB, and as a DE he can still drop off in coverage at times.
The way Coyle has used Olivier Vernon, I definitely think Barr could find a home here as a hybrid player. For sure.
