It is the preseason though so you can't put too much stock this early. And against the reigning world champs to boot. I'm sure Crennel will get the guys back in gear. He is a branch of the Parcells coaching tree of course.
It's preseason. Who cares? You use the preseason to evaluate individual players, not team efforts. I realize we're all desperate for football games that matter, but come on. The Browns will be fine this year, presuming Derek Anderson isn't a total fraud. (He did start falling apart towards the end of last season...)
Okay, so Brady Quinn comes in, wins some games with that offensive talent, and a QB controversy ensues. Still not a big deal. And reply to your PMs. Jeez. What are you, drunk?
Pre-season or not they came out and looked flat. That was the worst any team has played so far this pre-season and the Giants were missing their top 4 recivers. You have Jamal Lewis dropping handoffs, special teams ace Domenick Hixon torching your secondary and your special teams for 3 touchdowns and Derek Anderson leaves the game with a concussion. I'm sure they will turn it around but I was amazed at how bad they played. 30-3 at the end of the 1st quarter is pitiful.
Quinn got so lucky last night. He threw an interception and the Dockery had it in his hand only to have it ripped out by Cendrick Steptoe. Yeah, he looked horrible against Cincinnati last year. In Anderson's case, the Bengals pass defense got very good toward the end of last year, allowing only one pass over 20 yards in like the last five games I think it was. I thought he had 20 interceptions? Either way, it was too high and he needs to work on that.
Well some coaches put their players in bad spot to see how they react, Try new things, and some don't even gameplan
