Tampering happens all the time in the NFL. No one ever gets caught, and even when they do, they never get punished. Non-story.
It sure seems like we tampered. I read in a couple different articles that we basically asked Nolan, which team he would rather coach for. In the end though its not really a big deal.
Actually, the story was that the Broncs, specifically McKid, asked Nolan if he wanted to remain and he either was ambiguous in his response or flat out said no....bottom line is this is kind of a non-story. The Fins apparently did the right thing by asking permission to interview and the Broncs accepted it...If Nolan wanted to stay or they wanted Nolan to stay, he surely would have... There is something with McKid and how he handles things that some players and coaches don't like. I say this because of his limited history last offseason and during this season with the way he handled the Cutler deal and then the Marshall Brandon issue and now this...You know the old saying, once an anomaly, twice a trend...
I wish Josh McDaniels and his huge ego would just move on. This guy thinks he is the next Belichick, and I for one am tired of his act. Nolan is here, and we asked for permission like we are supposed to. You can't tell me in the coaching family that they don't talk about things, just like players talk to each other. Let's move on already.
