You know what I've just about had it withsome people saying you have to be 6'10" 265# run a 4.55 40 and be able to throw 80 yards to be a QB to play this game!

We used to play this game with a 32 man roster and play it both ways. People played with broken ribs and holes in their lungs, broken arms, and broken noses and one hell of alot less safety equipment every year and none of us weighed 200+ pounds. I could name you some pretty fast people back then too. You want tough try storming omaha beach with 80,000 Germans trying their best to kill you, thats tough.

I can't wait to make Billy boy eat every word he spoke. I want us to shove the WildPat down his gullet til he feels as if he's being waterboarded 288 times!

You know what we really need, thats 53 men to step up and say we don't move from this line one inch, I want them to have the mindset that they are going to stomp everyother player into submission on every play. I want everyother team in the NFL to pray that they never have to play the Miami Dolphins ever again because even if they win they have to be drug off the field on stretchers.:wink2::up:

Now come on down here Billy Boy and get yours!!:taunt::taz:

Ok, so it was Brian Billy we were talking about, I don't care, send him too it just means billy boy will have company in his hospital room!!

I cant remember anyone here actually saying anything about this being a full time portion of our offense. I agree with B. Bill that it couldnt work in the NFL as a full time offense...but I have to wonder why even make such a statement....NOBODY would run that full time...that alone takes away from the reasons its so effective...

    1) You force a team to dedicate a portion of practice to defending it....

We will be strong enough that some weeks, we may not run even one play out of the WildCat. Other weeks, we may run 20 plays out of it....next week we might run it on our first possesion of the second half...and even then...our coaches are going to devise plays that in base dont look like the WildCat, but shift into them....the fact is...defenses will not be able to predict how and when we use it. Hell..we could have the personel on the field to run it exactly when you would expect us NOT to run it.

Ginn can throw it...Henne can throw it...White can throw it...Pennington can....good luck coming up with the defense to stop every possibility with this...AND then having to go back and stuff our base offense. We could potentially have the most explosive offense this season....no doubt about it...especially if our OL is as good as we hope. THAT right there is the single biggest thing that will turn this offense and our base offense into a complete nightmare for opposing defenses...our OL. Ill make this call right now...if we have a top 10 OL....we make the playoffs easily...top 5 this could be the year folks....

David Hyde has a nice blog about White and the Wildcat:

    http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...ldcat-pat-white-s0529sbmay29,0,4091019.column

Three plays, the WC has the ability to run more plays then three, even if extra practice time is required, there are at least 8 or 9 plays that could be run.

Pat White's ability to both run and pass at a high level, higher then Ronnie's means the entire field is now open for the plays they plan on installing into the WildCat, if White can pick up the nuances of playing Qb like running a no huddle and the 4 wr spread, the WC could do alot more then 6 yds and a cloud of dust.

Hyde also pointed out that Ireland never worked out P White privately as they did not want our interest in him to be well known..

    Mornin' Andrew!

..that's somewhat misleading.. they chose to only insert three plays into each gameplan.. different ones sometimes for each game... but we weren't limited to just "three" plays to choose from ..

the NFL will not have the success they had the first time around in reigning in their defenders to stifle the run with a fully functioning & revamped single wing system
we now have the missing piece to make it work

Not intentionally Marty, it's what the article had to say.

But it does show that the Wildcat, as an mini offense, was tiny last season, 3 plays in any given game is not enough for a defense to have to prepare for.

A remote possibility, it could happen CP leaves via concussion, Henne isn't activated, leaving White and Brown to run the "O".

Depends, and therein is the beauty of Pat White, he can pass, run, and catch, and hopefully quick kick, how do you defend that mini offense as well as the ultra competent Chad Pennington led offense?

Opposing "D"'s have no idea what we may do, winning via dramatic diffence for the Miyamoto Musahi "Five Rings" fans..

In the final game against the Jets last year, we ran the Wildcat a lot, all the marbles on the line, and our offense was the Wildcat...don't undersell it B27, in Crunchtime, we ran the WC...think about that..

Eh, clog the Line of Scrimmage taking away the interior running plays, and then pen up White as the Qb and force him to throw.

Pat White, 4 Wr, and we need points, the winner in P white will show up.

The wildcat in crunchtime disproves this ridiculous notion that its some sort of gimmick offense, you get a real offensive line blocking for this offense and i can see that remote possibility becoming more possible.

I'll stick with 80/20 cause the future also has a ak47 {henne} that can do its own damage in its own way. Once the two are fused together, defenses are gonna be so tired of the relentless nature of the playcalling, they will fold or give up big plays eventually.

The key is to not look at the scoreboard while executing the hybrid, kinda like the way davone bess runs a route in the fourth quarter of a game compared to the way he runs one in the first..Relentless. know what iam sayin my brother.
