None of those guys have proved they can win a 'Big Game' except Eli and Kap, but Eli might be cruising past his prime already and Kap is struggling as of late so I dont think they are a 'lock' to win the SB with Seattle's D.

And notice the Jets lost in the AFC Championship game, while the Seahawks had a blowout win in the Super Bowl. That's quite a difference.

I see Rodgers in class by himself. And even with the benefit of 5 turnovers he only put up 19 points and was struggling to tie the game late. That's how good Seattle's D is. Is there any team in the league that wouldn't have lost by 20+ in that spot? I don't believe so.

After Rodgers there's Brady, Manning, Brees, Luck. I have Wilson in the next group with Romo, Rivers, Roethlisberger, and Ryan.

No doubt. If Wilson was on those Jets teams they'd have been winning championships too. All I'm saying is that there are at least 10 QBs who would have done the same. My only issue with Wilson is that I think he'd struggle to carry lesser teams to a title. Imho elite QBs are those who can not only play highly efficient games but can also throw it 40+ times and carry their team when the need arises.

We will find out when he gets the big contract and talent starts to leave, luckily for Seattle, RW3 might be fully developed and ready to carry a team COMPLETELY by that time and keep on contending and winning championships.

thats what i thought too but if you look at how they structured their contracts, the core of that team is going to be around for at least three to five years more. they even offered LYNCH a massive contract today to wind up his career as a seahawk. their gm is godlike right now for the way they put that team together

While Wilson has never attempted 40+ throws in a game, during his three years in the league he's thrown the ball 30+ times in a game 14 times, the Seahawks are 9-5 in those games, and Wilson averaged a QB rating of 97.8 and a YPA of 7.5 in those games. I see no reason why throwing the ball fewer than 10 additional times in a game would result in some markedly different performance on his part, where suddenly as he throws his 40th pass, his performance plummets from that very high level to something inadequate.

Once again, you're functioning with this personal belief that as Wilson throws the ball more, his performance gets worse, and that just isn't true.

Thats crazy too lol god I wish Miami was run half as good as Seattle.

However, you cant blame RW3 for that. (Not saying you are either, im just talking in general)

I wasn't big fan of him either, wasn't a big 'hater' though... However, the more skeletons that come out of his closet, I grow to dislike him a little more (like the title of this thread, for example)

I will definitely be rooting for him. But I think Wilson is kind of fully developed already. The only way he really gets better would be to grow a few inches lol.

Is Ireland's opinion on Wilson any different than than the general league wide scouting opinion though?

If Russell Wilson was in the Dolphins, we would have made the playoffs twice already. Would we have won a playoff game? Maybe, maybe not. But he would have put this team in the playoffs already at least twice.

Hate away. But thats the difference between a winner and a guy who has never won a big game.

I understand and respect your opinion. We just disagree. To take another path, how would you, as a DC, defend Seattle's offense?

WADR that's pretty thin. Wilson would change he dynamics of the offense but can you explain how he'd increase the overall production and win totals?

I think you have to put eight in the box and make the weakness of the offense (its receivers) win the game. All other strategies are worse in my opinion.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. All I know is I wanted Wilson instead of Tannehill in the 2012 draft and I would still take Wilson over Tannehill today.

As far as my comprehension is concerned. I have no doubt it is far better than yours.

Cool, 8 in the box means your CBs are one one one with Seattle's WRs. And you can't really play man coverage bc Wilson is deadly on the scramble. You're basically forced to play Cover 3 or Cover 1 with a spy. Cover 2, 6, quarters, are essentially off the table. As Seattle's OC and QB you know this and can gameplan accordingly. It's a tremendous advantage.

I can hear it now. If the game continues in this way, it'll be all the fault of Russell Wilson and have nothing to do with his receiving corps. If Tannehill did the same thing, it'd be all on the receivers.

They just stated on TV that the Seahawks don't have a single starting WR who was even drafted. You give Wilson the WR's of the Dolphins, instead of the lousy receivers he is forced to play with and I have no doubt his passing stats would be much better than they are.

If the Dolphins had the same receivers Wilson does, everyone would be blaming these receivers every time Tannehill had a bad game.

I would take the WR,s Tannehill had in his rookie season over the receivers Wilson is forced to play with.

No wonder they have to rely on Lynch so much on offense. The receivers for the Seahawks appear to be having trouble getting any kind of separation from the Patriots defensive backs. Even on the long completion by Wilson, it took a perfect pass to complete it because the defensive back was right with the receiver.

83 has made two plays this game. Brady has thrown 3 times as many passes and his receivers have yet to make a play.

How do you build the best defense in the league without another area suffering? Would you trade or receivers fir the best defense in the league? I might...our receivers aren't best in the league

It sounds as if you believe throwing a short pass and having the receiver get a number of yards after the catch well above the norm on such a pass isn't a "play."

Ive seen good play design from NE. They're doing a good job of creating matchups, mainly underneath but also with Gronk vs Wright for the TD but no NE WR has stepped outside the offense to make a play.

Talent around the qb? All of his receivers are undrafted. He has a good back. That's it.

Yes. His line isn't the best. Russell has made amazing plays to avoid the rusher. His leading receiver is a former cfl guy cut by the Browns.

People will do anything to make Russell look bad.
