That is one of the strangest things I've ever seen. Sad news however even though Bozo was a little before my time he is a children's television legend.
Well thats 3. Russert/Carlin/Harmon, dont these things usually come in 3s? Was never a huge clown guy so only watched it on occassion. Captain Kangaroo was the **** though
Mr. Moose and some other key characters He also was the original Clarabell the Clown on Howdy Doody, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CY6TGyDg9yI
I was on the Skipper Chuck show (real name was Popeye's Playhouse, but everyone called it the Skipper Chuck show) 3 times, and actually won a game on there the 2nd time. I met all of the characters face to face. It was a cool time (for a 5 or 6 year old)
Many people don't know that Capt Kangaroo was actually a highly decorated WW2 war hero. A marine - Semper Fi !
I just finished watching an interview with Keeshan and he never mentioned being in the Marines so I took a look online and found that he join the Marines but never saw combat action. He enlisted just before the bomb was dropped on Japan. But I did learn something new while doing the search. Lee Marvin served in the Pacific theater, was awarded a purple heart and is buried at Arlington. http://www.snopes.com/military/marvin.asp
Well then the show I saw lied Sorry about that Celtkin, but at least I had the Marines and WW2 part right Nice to know someone is checkin' up on me
