He's now considering an offer from Miami.

That's according to ESPNEWS. It's in their BREAKING NEWS bar.

According to NFL radio right now, Bill got a revised Option from the FINS last night and decided NOT TO JOIN the Falcons...

YES FREAKING A YES!!!!!!

He will now be a Dolphin!!!

I said in the other thread just a few minutes ago that the Miami stuff wasn't real and he is Atlanta bound. Guess I was wrong. lol.

Seems like TUNA was using Atlanta to get more power / money from Wayne...

Nope they stated they will not be signing an offer with Atlanta, so they leaves Miami pretty much the only offer out there now...

Man I wonder right now what Cam and Randy are doing? I would be ****ting in my pant's as bill would require alot of Power in the Organazation, so Randy my guess is on the outs... Cam Might get a repreve.

But it would be nice to have a FOOTBALL guy in charge finally!

OH man it might not even be the Dolphins, they are now talking about maybe the GIANTS would bring him in to run the show there. Lets keep our fingers crossed BIG TUNA IN SOUTH BEACH sounds nice, but he has New York Roots..

I think it's a done deal!

He also said this AM that he was taking the Job in Atlanta that there were no deal breakers left to discuss.

I just don't like this at all... There is no hope for progression next year if the deal goes through... It will take another 2 years before this team is decent and I believe that we could be there alot sooner without him... And to be bold about it, if Parcells is hired as the GM... I don't see us in the playoffs til 2010 at the earliest...

If bill is hired, i think we say bye to cam and in comes maurice carthon. carthon was assistant head coach to bill in his early days and wouldnt be suprised to see him come in...

According to reports, Bill Parcells will not be the GM. He will oversee the football operations and will hire a GM, but he will not be the GM himself. Chris Mortensen said that Bill Parcells does not want to be a GM or a HC. He just wants to oversee the football operations.

Basically, it seems to be a situation where Bill Parcells will set up the structure of the scouting department and hire a general manager to do the general manager work within the organization. The offer will probably give Bill Parcells the authority to hire and fire the head coach as well.
