It's that time of year, the offseason. Between the draft and TC news about the Phins crawls to a trickle and that's when we get a lot of the craziest and most frustrating posts on boards like these. Thought I'd offer something of interest. My Dad saved the Sports Illustrated after the Phins Super Bowl win capping off the Perfect Season. I thought it might be cool to scan it in and put it up for others to see. Any who want to read it, have at it. Just click the links and it'll take you page by page. You can see a huge difference in the "flashiness" of today's SI product compared to back in 73 and take note of the issue price as well. Enjoy.... http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn267/tomhavens/72PhinsSI3.jpg http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn267/tomhavens/72PhinsSI2.jpg http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn267/tomhavens/72PhinsSI4.jpg http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn267/tomhavens/72PhinsSI5.jpg http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn267/tomhavens/72PhinsSI6.jpg http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn267/tomhavens/72PhinsSI7.jpg
Here is the article from the links that were given to us by Coral Reefer (thanks again for those.) incase some people at work can't view the links. Not sure if you can or not but work computers can be ghey so here. One note I wanted to add was that the blanks I left between some of the paragraphs signaled it went on to the next page. Reading that, it seemed to me that the Redskins were not prepared at all for that game. The last few quotes by their HC showed it. A Redskins player, anonymous, stated that they should have "left him in Washington", LOL.
