Na, I don't buy it Deej! I'm not sitting here saying Henne sucked. He was a younger starting Qb and yes, Marshall dropped a lot of balls. He always has though.

Marshall did not get his fair 100 percent fair shake though. Not entirely! He missed time due to injury, and as you said, he was coming off of surgery to his hip. Henne was givin plenty of slack for playing his last 5 or so games with a bad knee. That's fine but so should Marshall.

The offense, as a whole, was inept from a play calling stand point. It could not run, held extras in to block, and constantly tripped over it's own two feet.

Where you show me Marshall dropped a pass, I'll come back with a pass that may have hit hands but was a mislead throw, or a throw that should have been thrown 10 miles an hour came in at a whopping 100 mph instead.

I'm not even remotely trying to bash Henne here either. I do think that he can improve and improve well enough to hit most of his passes in stride perfectly. I do think he will learn to throw with much better touch as well because he actually showed some of it last year at the end.

Where Henne improves we should see Marshall improve as well. AND if Marshall is indeed improving his quickness as reported then it could be dangerous .....

I'm not BLAMING Henne though. Just saying that many things came into play with that offense last season. Henne, Henning, Marshall, Ricky, Ronnie....ect

I just mean relatively speaking, if you extrapulate the numbers, lets say because he missed 2 games we add a modest 5 or 6 catches in those 2 games, that's pushing 100 catches, 100 catches with our coodinator issues is not bad, so once again, I don't see Henne as a big issue as it pertains to Marshalls production..I really believe the lack of big plays was because of his body not being in the condition he was accustomed to..I say that because when I watched Brandon catch the football, his first instinct was to go horizontal with the ball, imo, that is a dead give away for someone who does not trust his speed.

I can always look forward to something negative when you post. Don't you ever get tired of being THAT guy?

Anyway, to disprove your point here

The #1 player on the NFL top 100 players of 2011 was Tom Brady, a 6th round pick. Are you saying that no QB drafted before the 6th round has anything to learn from Tom Brady based soley on his draft position?
James Harrison was an UDFA who won DPOY so no linebacker ever drafted should hope to play like him?
Antonio Gates was an UDFA who dominated the TE position for years, no TE should try to learn anything from him?
Arian Foster is an UDFA who led the league in rushing yards last year. Nope, nothing to learn from him either, eh?
Wes Welker was an UDFA who led the league in receptions in 2007 and 2009.
Cameron Wake was an UDFA who came in 3rd in the league last year with 14 sacks.
Miles Austin was an UDFA who's made the last 2 Pro Bowls and set a Cowboys franchise record with 250 receiving yards in a single game
Tony Romo was an UDFA who does nothing but put up 4,000 yard seasons.

All these players made the NFL Top 100 players list (as voted on by the players.)

So you're telling me that just because of those players draft positions there's nothing anyone in the league can learn from them?

Don't you see how your "case" completely falls apart when logic is applied to it?

Beyond any shadow of any doubt, and there are MANY more, myself included. That was/is one of my favorite all time lines. Another was if they were not meant to be sheared, they would not be sheep. I'm off on the exact quote but, you get the idea. :)

Brandon Marshall is a VG WR in the NFL, top ten is fair. Miami gave up two #2 pics to get him. This is laughably a great deal, although the Pat White pick was not included.

My problem is that, as a person, and team mate, he sucks.

    Is that important?

You mean the guy who shoots straight about our star and how he isn't as good as advertised. No I don't get tired of it . I love being that guy.

Of all the players you listed are any of them Devon Bess. Proves nothing to me. Bess didn't make the top 100.

When did I say a player can't learn from a lower pick or UDFA. I didn't. That is an assumption.

Nope my case didn't fall apart. Marshall is supposed be all of it but yet he is envious of a so called (at least to most Dolphin fans) second tier WR. Top 5 WR my ***. He is a glorified possession receiver.
In fact I haven't seen BM do much right here. He drops balls (on third down to extend drives no less), doesn't break tackles, can't run after the catch, doesn't score TD's. when he came to Miami it was supposed to be new life. He had grown up. Then he makes statements like "I have $50 million, I can do whatever I want" That is a huge ego stroke if I ever saw one. This guy didn't grow up off the field or on the field. He fooled everyone. Except me of course. :wink2: Now he has lied to police and is still lying to save his ***, his wife's *** and his marriage. Some kinda deal we got. Denver flicked this booger onto us and now he is ours.
    What a headache.

Clearly to all except Marshall himself, he is doomed. That crazy ***** will hurt him more seriously at some point, or force him to defend himself, at which point he might end up doing time.

Either way, sometime in the near future we will be without the services of the most talented WR ever to wear a Dolphins uniform.

    And our luck holds...

I think at this point, Killers opinion about his character should not be underestimated, there is a chance that the guy is a POS.. I hope not of course, but do we really know who the guy is? I hope that he finally grows up and and understands the responsibility of being born with elite physical talent alongside a 50 million dollar contract..

Hmm, his wife stabbing him has nothing to do with his love for her, the two are not mutually exclusive.

This does seem like the typical abusive relationship.
The victim still cares about the attacker, he/she thinks he can change the other one, etc.

His "public" comments regarding Henne were completely uncalled for, and as far as I know, he has not been at any of the "team's" workouts.

The Qb, the running game, and the Wr's have to be part of the problem though. The offensive coordinator was probably the single most problem with the offense but execution goes along with this.

Did Marshall lack big plays? Sure, but he also had a blanket of defenders surrounding his area almost all the time. There is no denying that. What Marshall did was open up the lanes for other Wr's because teams surely were not going to let him beat them constantly. The running game made it nearly impossible to fool anyone as well. The entire offense is to blame for their season....

That's odd. I'm sure my wife stabbing me would have some effect on whether or not I feel she's right for me. I feel that the two are not mutually exclusive.

ok I find this soap opra to be a potential disaster for the team and for Marshall. Marshall is playing with fire and we all could get burned in the process . Pease dont make excusses for Brandon. just because he is working hard doesnt mean charges wont be filed or his crazy wife wont succeed in something worse itr the domestic dispute erupts all over again. I am hoping for the best but this craziness isnt over yet.

Fair enough,I have been all over henne but I will swallow my pride and hope he does a drew brees for us this year.
Bottomline for me is i want a winner and i don't care who gives it to me but if he falters i will be all over him.
I would expect the same from you if marshall tanks.

wow I cant beleive that people are defending Marshall on this . these domestic disputes can turn violent in a hurry this makes Brandon Marshall look bad in my opinion because you shouldnt let someone stab you and walk free and then when they have another flare up and then this time someone gets killed and then dolphins organization gets another black eye and this club cant afford another black eye.

I dont have a problem with Marshall forgiving his wife but these domestic troubles worry me bcause what if she does something worse or he does something worse ? i cant take any more black eyes that the dolphins have been getting and it makes the fins look like a dysfunctional franchise we need smarter players and coaches in miami not a another O.J Simpson type deal .
I am having a real bad feeling about this situation.
