I stole a blog from thephinsider.com so I could share it with you. It has a lot of information that I think you would interested in discussing...or at least I think you will. Check it out.... http://www.thephinsider.com/2010/6/22/1529337/brandon-marshall-gives-dolphin#storyjump Enjoy
Gotta love the Marsh. That said, the whole TO/bike joke wasn't funny... at all. For some reason I'm having trouble getting over how awful it was.
71 is the man.... That sh$# got me hyped. Residual impact on offense determined by a special athlete..Ronnie, Ricky are going to absolutely pound fool's.
You have to understand that Marshall is going to say all the right things in interviews right now. I wouldn't expect him to do anything but be nicey nice. With that said my fave part was the "we are like kids" in reference to himself and Henne. That gave a little something extra and was a little more personal. Expect those two guys to push each other and be very competitive together. Brandon also seems to know already that he will help the running game. That tells me we will be a run first play action pass offense. Business as usual only now we have a top five wideout. All good things to hear but we still have to see it. Nice read 71!
I appreciate that. I wonder how good is Chad Henne's play-action game? I want to see how this will turn out as well but I am certain it will be more than we imagined it to be. I am really excited about this upcoming season. There is so much that could happen this year!!
I didn't have a big problem last season with Henne's turn or his hips. I don't see a reason to hide it and have to sell it. You can run the football. We have that along with the ability to take a few more shots down field. Stealthy chunk yardage bro.
he's good at it, and he has the master teaching him to get better..with the best right arm in the game, his play action should become deadly..
I feel all tingly inside folks, if Marshall can catch 100+ catches for a coach he doesn't like, with Orton at QB, just imagine what he will do behind this OL with Henne throwing to him. I loved the comment how he wants to be more like Randy Moss in TD production, exactly what we need. I just can't wait to see our running game this season with Marshall opening things up, no more stacking the box when he's on the field. Our improved, bigger and stronger - not to mention nastier - OL, R&R are going to pound opponents and Brandon Marshall is going to keep them off balance and increase our TD/red zone results. Aint we got fun?!!! Thanks 71 - great read!
There is no doubt we could run the football. We still have the Wildcat and now Marshall could be a big part of it. We could easily average 35-40 points a game.
My expectation is that Marshall's catches will drop into the 90s. His average will be about the same but his TDs will get to the double digits. But I think his impact on our total passing game, running game and defense will be far more significant than just those stats.
That was a sweet read. Just gets you all pumped up and dieing to see this years team hit the field. Can Brandon say no wrong every new comment just put a bigger smile on my face. Cannot wait.
I agree with you there Rafael. I believe he had so many catches because they passed more than the ran the ball. Now it is going to be reversed. I think he will have between 80-90 catches which is still good.
