[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]"P Brandon Fields signed a contract extension that will boost his salary from $598,000 this year to $864,000 in 2012. Fields averaged 46.3 gross yards is second in franchise history behind John Kidd's 46.5 yard average in 1996. "It's always good not having somebody breathing down your neck," Fields said. "But at the same time, I still have a job to do, just like everybody else. If I don't do my job, they'll bring in somebody else."

Long Snapper is a position that will need to be addressed in the next draft along with RB. Our talent at these positions is aging and it is time to start looking toward the future. (sorry to say)

You must wonder why they pay a separate salary to keep a long snapper on the team when a few of our linemen are experienced centers? Wouldn't you want to double up the position and save some payroll?
