So in real life Browns in the offseason get rid of both former QBs....hmmmmm....madden was way ahead of them.
Wow - I am not Quinn fan (having watched every one of his pro games) but that is a steal for Denver. He is better than Orton and they gave almost nothing.
I think it's a good deal for both teams. The Brownies gets Hillis, and his blue collar style should be a perfect fit in Cleveland, as well as two late round picks. Denver gets a project in Quinn that may pay dividends if McDaniels can in fact make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. How Cleveland uses those two picks will ultimately determine who got the best of this deal. But, I really like Cleveland's side right now.
Brady Quinn...the cat people got all heated up over after Cam Cameron and Mueller passed on drafting him, has been traded because a 35yr old Qb who threw 9 td's and 18 int's was signed? I had to type that out just to make sure it wasn't made up.. Peyton Hillis is a good pickup for Cleveland, he can do alot of things if he is healthy, Quinn clearly had hit a dead end in Brownieland.
Orton is a much better Qb than Quinn..at this point in time..Orton's problem is he is too fragile, whenever he has had a chance to start he does okay, the team wins, then he has an injury and the team is screwed. From what I've read McDaniels runs the same offense that Quinn has learned and that was the attraction, plus the cheap price and large upside if the trade works.
Can't really argue about that deal for Denver, not really much risk at all. The Browns are going into the season with Wallace and Delhomme at Qb......guess Holmgren wants to stockpile top draft picks next year too...Its not that I think Quinn is really good but Delhomme is exactly the type of Qb you don't want starting on a young team, a turnover machine...
I think that is an awesome trade for the broncos i think they got a steal with only giving that up i think Quinn will excel in that system if they keep brandon marshall which they probably will for atleast next season.
i think that is a huge down grade i know Quinn didnt show a lot or anything in clevand but i think he is better then Delhomme and i think anderson is better then Jake Delhomme to
i do honestly think quinn has gotten a bad wrap. he starts in cleveland....they trade his best WR in edwards. they already got rid of kellen winslow jr....and dont forget its the ****ing browns. he still might have a chance to be a good qb....
Yeah, but the guy was drafted and highly touted because of his consistency and accuracy. Once he got to the NFL, he was no longer accurate at all. I watched a few of his starts, and he had trouble hitting a receiver in the hands on a short slant timing route. And let's not even begin to talk about his accuracy deep. It's horrendous I don't think he'll ever get better. I think he's like John Beck where the speed of the NFL game is just too much for him.
Funny, because the two Brady Quinn starts I saw last year I thought the same thing. He and Beck both had "happy feet" and weren't accurate at all. Maybe that's because neither had a great O-Line...
According to stats bureua the Browns allowed 4.9 seconds per dropbacks, good for 3rd the in the NFL....so the blame is OBVIOUSLY on the QB's. i totally made that up
Not only was he the "lesser" of the evils, I think Cam wouldve been gived a free pass with Quinn as his guy, creating a domino effect wich wouldve sent Parcells and his troops elsewhere...eliminating our AFC East run, eliminating Henne while we would JUST NOW be realizing...oh sh-t were screwed again!
