What a futile, never-ending game of adjustments these guys keep playing with their attempts to marginalize every QB in the league not named Ryan Tannehill. It's embarrassing behavior to watch out of my fellow Dolphin brethren.

Like the people who have defended Tannehill haven't been called Tannehill zombies lol. That doesn't make it right to call people Wilson zombies, but a lot of people don't really look into all the factors that make him so successful and just focus on how he wins so that's really what I'm referring to.

Nobody is arguing Wilson hasn't benefited from defense and run game. The team enjoys success because the defense was great, the run game was consistent (Lynch didn't rush for a great average the year they won it all, but they stick with it) and efficient passing from Wilson. All of it contributed. Funny note: Lynch has never ran for more than 160 or totaled 200 from the LOS, Rawls did that already.

But when you isolate what he does individually, he's lights out better. Some people are arguing Wilson is no better than Tanny and that's where we take issue. He's better. He's a lot better.

Some argue he would be on the bench or cut if drafted by Miami.

Some argue he's no good from the pocket even though the stats suggested otherwise in 2013 at least. And this:

    http://espn.go.com/blog/seattle-sea...the-difference-for-seahawks-qb-russell-wilson

He's better. He's a lot better. He has the 2nd highest passer rating of all time. Yes I know rating has been inflated post 2004 but he's right there behind Rodgers.

It's impossible to say how Wilson would have done if he was drafted by Miami instead of Seattle (obviously). I do think it's fair to wonder though, how effective Wilson would be if not surrounded by such an amazing cast of coaches and players like Tannehill has. The GB game last year really illustrated how good the rest of the team truly is, even against the great ARod and in a big hole Wilson put them in.

I haven't been part of the Wilson discussions but I'll say this real quick. I've always felt the Seahawks were the best team to be surrounded by as far as the combo of running and defense go but they've never had the best passing blocking line or weapons for Wilson to throw to. Regardless of what team Wilson is on he is head and shoulders better than Thill. One guy is a lock top 10 QB, the other will be lucky if he isn't holding a clipboard in a couple seasons. Miami fans aren't known for their football intelligence (sadly) and you can look no further than the fanboys of Henne and now Thill as to why other teams fans look at us in humor. Some people on here would be respected a lot more if they just admitted their support of Thill was blind love and their hate for Wilson was blind jealousy and move on. The "who throws a better slant" type arguments just make you look absolutely clueless and nobody outside of Resnor will take you serious. You seem like a nice guy Resnor but if the time ever comes when I notice you're Thanking my post, that's when I'll begin to re-evaluate my position.

the team he plays on benefits from his abilities..because in isolation he is a special football player..special athlete...that does special things in crucial moments..

this all started because some of us started to question the skills and acumen of the qb, going back a while now, some didn't take kindly to that, didn't respect the stance..Thought that they knew better and started throwing out comparisons to other young qbs..my favorites being Wilson and Luck...

the debate about wilson being a great qb is over sir, he's proven...and just because great players can have a stretch of bad games or quarters, doesn't give folks the ammo to say ''see, he struggling, he's overrated''...and thats exactly whats been going on..

if all those folks would just admit their mistakes we could move on amicably..but still you can see even in this thread, at this point and time, still reluctant to get out of their initial stance.., meanwhile the guy has a 106 passer rating and 500 yards rushing..with lou rawls at running back, no jimmy graham, and dougie fresh baldwin as his #1..

    Good breakdown.

The 1st down throw would have been to Parker. He didn't have separation, but he had inside position and with his big body and catch radius a good throw either results in a completion or PI as the defender would have had to go through him.

Isn't it funny how people want to point out the GB NFC Championship game where Wilson threw the game winning TD pass? Or neglect the games where he clearly took over and won. He's putting the team on his back to keep them in the playoffs. What has Tannehill done with the playoffs on the line?

Not possible. Some very high up NFL sources who commonly post errrrrrr marginalize in these threads told us Wilson's success is directly tied to Lynch.

Gannon has mostly defended the kid, but even he touched on the fact that there's not exactly a leadership style relationship between he and his teammates. It's one of my largest concerns about the kid. He elaborated even further on this in the article.

"Gannon said Tannehill “has to be more demonstrative. I would like to see him show some emotion at some point. If it’s me, I’m marching to New York to [owner]StephenRoss’office [this offseason] and say, ‘I’m pissed off and I want to see change. I’m not going to tolerate this anymore!’ Unless he’s OK with how things are. Some guys are OK with that.”

The convo trying to prop up Tanne by putting down a QB like Wilson, who is worlds better than Tanne, just must now be ignored. It is just so extremely ridiculous and ignorant. All of you who, like me, think this is such an incredibly ignorant debate have to just ignore this insanity. You all have presented such good arguments and stats, etc, etc, that if that didn't shut some people up, NOTHING will. Yes, Tanne is just as good as Wilson. Let them enjoy the circle jerk. It will never end. When the day comes that Tanne is a back-up, they will still say that it was the staff that ruined him. There will be NO end. It is like the Allegory of the Cave. However, I truly do not think that they actually believe the BS their trying to sell. It's become just a pointless, ego driven stance. Do not feed the monster. Wt- else are you going to say? Yes, it was the D and the HCing genius Pete Carroll who make Wilson look good. They obviously never watched the guy in college. Have them go watch Tanne and Wilson's college tape and if they don't break out laughing they are just lying.

I'm sure you can look at every failed third and fourth down in a vacuum and make a sound excuse for why every single one of them failed. Had Tannehill not made a play and gotten out of the pocket on the TD pass to Cameron I'm sure you could have made an excuse for that too. When you are close to the bottom of the league on third and fourth down chances are the QB is a big part of the problem.

Cam Newton isn't complaining about Ted Ginn Jr being his #1 WR. Yes the Panthers are undefeated with Ted Ginn as their leading WR.

Been waiting a while to see a game where Tannehill shines and leads the team no matter the obstacles. But with Miami aready 0-5 in the division that's pretty much a wrap once again this year. I want him to be a franchise QB, but its kind of worrying when they can't beat division opponents, and have choked anytime they've been in a playoff position in November/December the previous two seasons. And stink up most primetime games.

Yep. Newton, Luck and Wilson have all played well in must win games. They tend to have big games more often than bad games. They've all had to deal with ****ty players around them but they elevate their teams.

Some of us are even seeing more potential in younger QBs like Carr, Mariota and Winston. It's tough to watch but it is what it is.

    Wanna have some fun reads??

We are rehashing the same crappy excuses as we as fans always have. Running Game, OL, WR's play callers....anything we can do to take attention away from the fact that whoever our QB is at the moment?? Still gives us hope.

Uh... how is this making an excuse? I'm not making an excuse for anyone, including Tannehill because quite frankly I don't care. This is showing the FACT that nobody was open on the play. I'm not sure how that's an excuse... It's very similar to another example from the last two games that have been documented in various places using the coaches film.

Going into Sundays game with the Ravens, we averaged 8.4 yards to go per the CBS broadcast. That's a whole cluster**** of offensive contributions far beyond QB. It's not establishing the run all year, it's not being able to run well enough with a poor OL, it's running little designed quick passes/screens that get little to no yardage, it's stupid penalties knocking us back on first and second down, it's bad QB play at times, it's giving up sacks with a poor OL, it's all kinds of things, not just one person. You can call these excuses if you like, but they are really the fact of the matter when looking at our offense. Everyone needs to improve.

That's crazy right? You know what's absolutely sickening? The last time we were in the playoffs he was on the team. Since being (rightfully)traded he will have made the post-season every year going back to 2011 with 3 different franchises.

What's also funny/sickening, is I thought they said on the broadcast during the game against the Saints that Ginn leads the league in drops still too  some things never change. He's still so damn fast though, wow.

Did he overtake the lead last week? I'm positive they said he was at the top of the league with 7, just after he had dropped a pass.

Yea like throw a Superbowl losing pick from the 2 on 2nd down lol. He's a very good QB, but I'm not ready to put him in the hall just yet, can't just ignore the first half of the season if your doing an unbiased, fair evaluation of his season, rather than just focus on his last 3 games where he's improved significantly.

The guy is getting hot at the most crucial time of the season. What's Tanny doing right now? Oh ya, REGRESSING.

Wilson's been sacked more behind a patchwork O-line, playing with less at WR, a no name running back ....... I thought teams couldn't make noise with those things.

And that would show an excellent system QB who thrives in a run heavy scheme. Nothing wrong with that, but he's no Brady, Palmer, Rodgers, Big Ben, Cam type, he's not on that level of talent is all I'm saying imho. I think he benefits from that defense a lot, they perfectly play into his conservative game management approach to the position from what I see.
