In a span of a little more than 12 months — 380 days to be exact — Glenn Blackwood and the Miami Dolphins started to believe in themselves as legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Also during that time, Blackwood began to realize that, hey, maybe he could compete with the best players in the National Football League.

For Blackwood, a defensive back who intercepted two passes against Fouts in the rematch, the second game against the Chargers served to foster a positive vibe for the remainder of his nine-year career.
