they lost because he was careless with the ball. that was stupid. but I still agree with the decision to get the ball out so they had to run one less play.

I still rather risk fumbling a ball on a return when ball security is a top priority than giving the Pats 40 extra seconds. Hindsight is 20/20. I still think that if you play out this scenario 10000 times, getting the ball out is the right decision.
