    Per Adam Schefter's Twitter account.

Said they've been trying to trade him since the offseason and no one was interested.

After Fitzpatrick's performance on Sunday, can't say I'm surprised. Dude looked good.

    Per rotoworld.

Well, you could see it coming, Fitzy was just a better Qb.

    And consider:

    2004 #1 pick JP Losman
    2007 #3 pick Edwards

Bills have worse luck developing Qb's than we did..well..no, Beck and White were both high #2 picks.

We could use another punt returner.

He will land somewhere as a backup QB, I think with the right team he could be a good QB, kind of like Trent Dillfer, good but not great.

    Well away from here
If you think we have had issues replacing Dan Marino, the Bills continue their search for anyone to take mantle at quarterback. They have tried repeatedly in recent years to do so. Buffalo will once again be looking to add talent to that position in 2011.

    Damn.

Spot on analysis by Rotoworld, but "first team reps" does not mean very much imho, the Bills offence is a work in progress and whether Edwards threw 10 passes to Roscoe Parrish compared to Fitzy's 3 is not some massive difference.

My take is Fitz is a gutsy Qb with good mobility and a decent arm, he doesn't play scared and he is willing to sell out to get a first down on his own.

Downside is he is not a very accurate Qb but solid play calling should mitigate that problem somewhat, he is a good Qb for the type of team the Bills are this season.

He is a sort of poor man's Tyler Thigpen, I wonder if Gailey will run the Pistol Offense with Fitzpatrick like he did with Thigpen in KC?

    4-1 wasn't it?

And yes they do, heck Losman had a good rookie yr as well.

And next year’s QB class won’t exactly be top-tier.

Buffalo should trade for a guy like Gradkowski or Kolb and then bolster the offensive line any way possible.

That's exactly where I'm looking if I'm buffalo. Kevin Kolb. If that doesn't happen, I'm drafting Andrew Luck, maybe Ryan Mallett. I wouldn't touch Locker in the 1st.

Fitz is Jay Fiedler part 2. Gutsy, mobile QB who makes plays out of nothing. He can win some games, get you excited, but has a definite ceiling. i.e., good enough to start but never good enough to break into top half of QBs in this league.
