"..callers to local radio shows no longer want the Bills to draft a Qb..."

High cotton for Fitzy, myself and Wagon Circler went over Fitzy's game, I knew Fitzy would be a much better Qb than Edwards, but WC wanted a rook Qb in the 2011 draft.

WC still could be right, and it will be interesting to see how much guts Buddy Nix has because Fitzy will put up numbers, the same as Thigpen put up numbers under Gailey in KC, the problem is Fitzy is not really a Championship Caliber Qb, so Nix will have man up, and draft that Qb, who could easily bust.

But the fans in Buffalo will love Fitz, so the draft choice will be looked at as a wasted pick especially if the Rookie Qb has typical Rookie problems.

So enjoy Fitz putting up large numbers, iirc Thiggy put up 28 TD's in KC, but KC also finished 4-12 or worse./

Good QB on an 0-6 team

Well, Bills fans will not be bored at games any longer, Gailey can run an exciting offense with Thiggy getting 18 TD's for a terrible team in KC in 07.

Switching back to the 4-3 is also another positive step for the Bills, their 3-4 was horrendous, slow Lb's meet Dlinemen who could not two gap, meets poor coverage packages due to no Qb pressures.

I still don't think he's the answer at that position. Chan Gailey can coach quarterbacks but if they have a shot at Luck and they pass because they have Fitzpatrick, oh boy.

And there is the dilemma Alen, Fitzy is going to put up great numbers as the Bills Wr corps is far better than what the Chiefs had in 07, so they finish say 4-12, Fitzy has a Qbr in the 90's and over 20 TD's, and Nix will then have to choose a Luck to play Qb with all of the teams other needs.

Outside of the back 4 on defense, 2 guards, and maybe a Wr, there is not a unit or position on the Bills that does not need an upgrade.

Tuna passed on Matt Ryan for Jake Long and it worked out incredibly well.

This is the part of football I truly enjoy Alen, put on your GM cap, and see what you would do.

I would take Luck. There is no offensive lineman that is better than Luck at the top spot, assuming Luck is coming out which I am hearing is a real possibility.

There is no Jake Long at the top of this Draft.

    JMO.

Dude certainly played well at Baltimore. Can Henne do the same?

That's true, I took my first real look at a big board this morning and there is no Franchise Left Tackle this year, but tons of "skill position" players like Wr's and Cb's.

The only guy who does intrigue a bit is Adrian Clayborne or D Bowers, a Franchise DE type would cure a lot of ills for a long time.

But I think you are right, there just is not much in the way of alternate #1 overall type choices, Aj Green, Pat Peterson, these are not #1 overall types of players imo.

Clayborn is a good player but not worthy of that high of a pick. He's a very technically sound player with a great motor - like Tyson Jackson was coming out. But I didn't think Jackson deserved to go that high nor do I think Clayborn should, though I do like him.

DeQuan Bowers is an animal. He's finally stepped into the spotlight.

    JMHO.

He should. That secondary is not very good.

Funny thing is, in Bills Land, the last time they had the #1 overall, they took Bruce Smith, so a DE would not be unheard of in WNY.

But Smith was a beast for years at Va Tech before the Bills took him, Bowers is a late bloomer.

If Luck declares, and the Bills have a shot at him, you take him. Fitzpatrick is a good backup QB, and thats about it. If they do not have a shot at Luck, then Fitzpatrick could run the team for another year until they find a better option.

I definitely noticed him. I picked him up for my fantasy team as soon as I heard about Romo's broken collarbone.

He's big time trade bait for next year.
If I am a Bills fan I want him to pad his stats.

He looked good against the Ravens. Granted they could have been taking Buffalo lightly, it still isn't easy playing in Baltimore. Be interesting to see how he finishes out this season.
