Hey Dolfans,

here is a good chance to get some questions answered about anything you want. There is a lot of speculation about where we are looking for the draft. Well why not ask the big man himself, Bill Parcells. Starts at 5pm.

I asked him what he does on a daily basis during the season.

Tanking is like taking a Greyhound bus cross-country. Sure, it may eventually get you where you want to go, but it’s messy and unpleasant and uncomfortable, it stinks, the entire time you’ll be wishing you weren’t there, and not everybody along for the ride is going to make it to the end. - Quote stolen from Deadspin

It was just on the news that Bill is 100% sure he is staying this year, he even said it,, so all the b.s. looks to be over.

I'm still waiting for the live chat to start. I submitted a couple of questions.

submitted some questions also. Wonder if he'll talk about his future.

Are you going to stay with the Miami Dolphins inspite of the new ownership?

Bill Parcells, Miami Dolphins
Yes I am. "

I like to hear that!

He admits that we have a much tougher schedule next year.

Parcells:
Hopefully we can put a beter team on the field next year. We have a much more difficult schedule next year, so I don't know the chances are. But my goal is to put a better team on the field next year than we had this year. I don't know if our record will reflect it.

I asked Bill, which did he prefer, a pro-bowl WR or pro-bowl TE? I'm gonna guess he will say pro-bowl TE.

Steve :)

Good one.

How about: a diva WR or a diva TE? :wink2:

I don't think he would want either one, remember he coached Terrell Owens in Dallas. ;)

I like how he said that we need more firepower on offence. I'm sure he's working on targeting a FA or someone in the draft. Either way i'm sure chad p. likes to hear that.

Good to here that.....can't help wonder exactly what that means, though.
In other words, we have a group of young guys already at WR.
Is he going to be looking at a high draft pick this year?
Or are we looking at a vet guy to come in for 2-3 years to supplement our young guys' development?
There are a lot of possibilities out their to speculate on. Guys like Terry Glenn. Or maybe TJ Houshmanzadeh. I've heard rumblings that Indy will probably cut Marvin Harrison loose.
Who else is out there?

Well Boldin may or may want to be traded too. But I agree, lots to speculate on but at least it lets us know what area he realizes needs to get better in some way shape or form.

I think we can eliminate QB for now

Same with RB.

Possibly eliminate TE with Fasano / Martin's season.

So i was naturally thinking WR. How that gets addressed could be in a variety of ways, or even in several ways combined. Time will tell, guess we just won't be shocked if they use some resources to get a WR who's big and explosive.

I am 5'10, I weigh 162 pounds, and I run a 4.9 on the forty yard dash. What are the chances that you will sign me for the dolphins?

Bill Parcells, Miami Dolphins
None.

Get dirty, get bloody, get sweaty...

...get happy.

Like you, I think WR. Unless some blockbuster type of opportunity arises for say, a TE.
I had forgotten about Boldin. Not going to get my hopes up for him, though. I read something about Fitzgerald being willing to restructure if it would help keep Boldin in AZ.

They typically don't.

Generally someone reads the questions to the person and then someone types his response.
