Let me start by saying, I love Bess and I loved Booker. But aren't they pretty interchangeable? If we get offered a fourth for Bess next year, do they take the deal?

Well, Bess is a WR and Booker was a RB, so I don't think they are at all the same.

Booker could not block and that's what hurt him, Bess does not have to block a LB

I take Devone Bess everytime. But the thing is with Booker, I felt that he should have been tried out in the slot before moving him. I know he didn't fit our plans at the RB spot but he does have pretty good hands. I thought we should have at least attempted him there. However, I can't argue with getting a draft pick for a player that was not in our plans.

I watched Booker a few times this pre-season and he didn't look too good from what I saw. Fumbling runs and muffing punts.

Exactly, we got a 4th rounder for a guy who wasnt in our plans, and we ended up with Bess as an undrafted free agent. Interchangable maybe, but we still got a slot guy, and an extra draft pick to use on a player at a position we needed. so... looking back it all worked out. I love Bess and what he brings, I think it worked out really well for us

Bess is more like Welker was for this team, not LoBook.

that said, you don't trade him for squat. if we trade every gem we uncover, we'll never have talent on this team.
