Enter Chuck Klingbeil.

The former Dolphins defensive tackle (1991-95) was in his second year on the coaching staff at Michigan Tech. Klingbeil led the D-line and was the strength and conditioning coach for a program with no tradition and little budget.

Klingbeil had worked under world-class power lifter John Gamble, who had been his strength coach with the Dolphins. He borrowed liberally from Gamble's program when it came to getting the small-school Huskies in football shape.

"I tried to bring that edge of toughness," Klingbeil says, "that you've got to work all through the whole year. It's not a three- or six-month deal. Joe really took advantage of it, and obviously he grew. He grew quite a bit."

This is inspiring. Suddenly feeling like I can Rudy my way onto the team here at UCF.

Headcoach material wouldn’t want to work somewhere they’re not trusted with actual football decisions.

If you don't, you'll always wonder what if when you get older...
