Canes NFL Draft streak could end in '08
For the past 13 years, NFL teams have drafted at least one University of Miami player in the first round, another record. But according to some analysts, this year's draft could mark the end of UM's streak. Safety Kenny Phillips and defensive end Calais Campbell are projected to be drafted late in the first round or early in the second round. -- Miami Herald

Rams could trade No.2, grab USCs Ellis
One option for the Rams, if they trade down from the No. 2 overall spot, is Southern California defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis. By all accounts, Ellis was a man among boys at the Senior Bowl in January, giving blockers fits. "I think that definitely helped me a lot," Ellis said. "Just going out there and competing told a lot of teams a lot about me." -- St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Pats Randy Moss set to write book
New England Patriots walking soap opera Randy Moss is writing his life story. The book, "Rollin' with Randy: The Real Randy Moss Story," is being co-written by longtime Moss collaborator Jim Workman for release next February. Just in time for the Super Bowl! In a posting on Randy's Web site, Workman said he's in the process of finding a publisher for the book, which we can't imagine will be a problem considering the wealth of material he has to work with! "I've been approached about doing a book many times in my career," Moss says on his Web site TheRealRandyMoss.com. "But at this point of my career, I feel that it's time to come on out with my experiences. I've matured and grown and I've accomplished more in football. I want to let people in on . . . football and my everyday life." Workman, the University of Charleston's sports information director, is a former sports reporter who has covered Moss since he began his football career in high school. -- Boston Herald

Falcons considering Louisville QB Brohm in draft
With the NFL draft less than a week away, whispers continue to seep out of Atlanta that higher ups in the Falcons organization are smitten with Louisville QB Brian Brohm and could consider taking the passer in the first-round on draft day April 26-27. Two weeks ago, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank rounded up the posse, general manager Thomas Dimitroff, head coach Mike Smith, offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey and quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave, and traveled to Louisville to get one last look at Brohm before D-day. -- Dayton Daily News

I hope the :theu:'s streak doesn't end

Its been reported that the Saints might be trying to trade up with the Rams. Saints' pick is the tenth overall. If the Rams trade to their, they wont be able to pick up Ellis imo. I think Ellis could be gone to Bengals the pick before Rams.

As for the Brohm interest, I see that it says they could take a QB in the first round which would obviously be Brohm. My question to the draft guru's here is, is Brohm worth taking at the 3 spot?

    Thanks.
