I love me some Hartline, but of all the reports I've read recently, it sounds like he's as good as gone... Not much of a fit in Lazor's scheme, unfortunately, and he's considered a cap casualty right now. As for Delmas, I think we can do better.
I want a homerun hitter. I would like to keep L. James and put him on punt and kick returns. I also think with a fair battle he would beat out D. Williams.
Like I said, I want Hartline to stay. I think he is worth every penny we're paying him. But I think our front office feels differently. This isn't what I would do as GM, this is a projection of what I think will come to fruition.
I agree with you. LaMichael James is a better athlete and a better fit in Lazor's system than Damien Williams is. He reminds me of a young Darren Sproles. I hope he makes the team.
Best case scenario we cut Wallace and use that money to give BH a raise, Ryan likes him and he seems like a nice dude on Twitter.
Lmao My bad Fin-O, I somehow forgot Hartline was a better deep threat then Wallace... What was I thinking?!?!?!
I think that expecting any team to win the Super Bowl is unrealistic. However, after firing Philbin and staff and hiring the right people, the team could be turned around into a good club.
Hartline isn't a special player but he's far from garbage. I wish him all the best on his future team.
I thought this was a serious thread regarding how the Dolphins could use this off season to become a legitimate SB contender. I then saw that the OP was suggesting the team resign Wilson and Colledge and I realized it was merely a Jets fan attempting to ensure the Dolphins remain mediocre again next year.
You really wanna go into the season with such a putrid group of LBers? The only one worth his salt is Jelani.
Brian Hartline owns a couple businesses in Columbus. He is from Ohio and of course played at Ohio State. His lady is from Ohio as well. The Browns are about as WR needy as NFL teams get.......................maybe Brian would renegotiate with a hometown discount and we could actually get something for him instead of just releasing him.
If you think he will go and start for the Browns... Your wrong. He is horrible at getting YAC, I would gladly take Andrew Hawkins and Miles Austin as my starters over Hartline.
Miles is a FA so its possible, Cleveland has the cap space so i could see them making that move. Atleast I hope, would like to get something for the dope.
What would be Hartlines "selling point"? He doesnt do anything good at all. On most teams he is a number 3/4 WR. Browns also have the young kid T. Gabriel who I would also take as a starter over Hartline.
Miles Austin will be 31 this summer and in his entire NFL career he has only played one full season. He is injury prone and over the hill. Nobody is going to be depending on Miles for much of anything next year. It may be more likely that he retires than that he get significant snaps anywhere. UFA Miles Austin and an undrafted guy who is 5'7" 167 pounds are the starting wideouts for the Browns??????? This is just..........; I know they are a dysfunctional organization but nobody is that stupid.
Again, what is Hartline so good at that teams are lining up to trade for him? Please, I would like to know. BTW, give me Hawkins and a young Gabriel everyday of the week over Hartline.
Unrealistic?? --- not winning the super-bowl is failure. So not expecting it admits failure. Its a concept and a thought process. Ask Belichick. agree with second part
If we got him to Twitter up daily -- we could at least get a 5th for him. He really is a nice guy on twitter, and those u-tube videos are spot on
