Well lets look at the losses.... Lose to the no1 team in the country on the road or an unranked team at home... UF's wins save LSU(at home) have not been against very good teams. Remember the BCS doesnt factor in biast so sorry to tell you but Florida hasnt been all that impressive thus far. But they have a chance to prove themselves the rest of the year. Kind of validates my complaints about OSU getting shafted because of a "reputation" they deserve that reputation but like I said the computers look at facts not fiction. BTW I agree with the USC beef..they had a bad loss as well but hey the computers dont lie.
You did not lose u got destroyed! You got it handed to you everyway you could in a game. That's alos not the best team in the country when they had a bad loss the next week. Florida lost by 1 point to a decent team which is a loss but not that bad. They also killed the 4th best team in the country. Also sorry we could not struggle playing teams like Ohio.
No worries, plenty of football left to be played. We take care of business and the polls will sort themselves out.
True but they have already beaten one team rather soundly in this top BCS 10. Their one loss was a typical Carroll/$C arrogance one.
LSU was very overrated just like most of the pre-season rankings. Florida losses at Home To unranked Ole Miss Ohio St gets murdered by Number 1 USC at Home.
If those standings hold Oklahoma could without playing in the Big 12 title game. They still have Oklahoma St and Tech left both ranked in the top 10. Alabama will lose and the Little 11 doesn't deserve to be in the game and with Penn St weak schedule OU may pass them in the computers even if they don't lose.
Can't really blame them too much for the others in the conference but when they've played against top talent, they haven't lost (unfortunately so?) and in the OSU game, they dominated as a top 5 team should. All the other teams in the conference are either hobbled (Oregon, Arizona State, Cal) or rebuilding (UCLA, Washington St., Washington). It's not like they can move to another and better conference in the region.
Why is LSU overrated? They are a lot like the buckeye's except without a great rb (however they have better depth) and they have a better defense than OSU
Well they have not played nobody's. There schedule gets much more difficult. However who has Ohio State played? USC? Wisconsin? The Gators played a BCS bowl team, Tennessee (SEC East Champs last year), Miami, and LSU. I guess we will have to let things work them selves out
LSU was a good opponent but give me a break with Tennessee and Miami..they are hardly a great win if they were you would be ranked higher in the BCS your SCHEDULE thus far is why you are where you are. But like Motion if UF wins out it will take care of itself so no worries.
Yes why worry over the rankings. If PSU beats Ohio St on Saturday then all that complaining is for naught.
Yea the Big 12 is taking there turn in the "best conference" cycle. Texas is in the middle of a bruttle stretch if they go unbeaten Its a guarentee they go to the BCS.
Interesting article from Dave Hyde today Gators getting screwed? The low initial ranking may make it difficult to play in the Natl championship game even if they win out
I started that arguement when the thread started. Its crazy I know however we will find out about OSU satursay when they play Penn State.
If Florida wins out they should jump USC and anyother 1 loss team.... As if the UF group needed anymore reason to hate OSU, because if OSU wins out USC's victory looks that more awesome(although w/o our best player)
We are the only thing standing between Penn State and a BCS title game berth...you gotta root for us to win Sat. then lose to Illinois(again) to increase UF's chances.
I am rooting for you guys def. Also because of the text message I got from a certain Penn State fan before LSU and Florida
It's hard to argue that anyone is being screwed at this point. A lot of games left, and plenty of time for everyone in the top 10 to make their case for being in the title game. Texas and PSU are the only ones who control their destiny at this point. By the time the season ends, assuming Texas and/or PSU fall, the preseason rankings wont matter. UF has plenty of time to impress the pollsters and USC really doesnt. I mean you can only beat up on the Pac10 for so long before you stop getting bonus points for it. Besides, ND is going to beat them this year.
lol, sorry. Seeing as how I was born in Louisiana an all my family is here for the most part, I tend to root for the "home" team.
i just want to see PSU beat up on OSU this week. that'll be fun to watch haha but really, it should b a good game
