Significant because this is the first time a console version of BF3 has been shown. Everything so far—all the footage, all the trailers—is from the PC version. Behold the Playstation 3 version:

Looks like the usual PC to console compromises have been made, particularly lower-resolution textures on weapons and environmental objects. Still looks good, and I'm sure the 360 version has even lower resolution assets.

Oct 25th? it comes out before MW3... well, that'll give me some time to play that and only that.

They announced the new date at E3. They moved it up to take whatever momentum MW3 may have generated. And it might work.

Words cannot express just how much that added panning blur angers me.

    Every time.

the hardware is too old to be pc quality, thats just fact. But the game is still 3 and half months away from being complete so there is probably a lot of polishing to do. Although it will never be PC quality, its still will have the best graphics of any console game this year.

It might have the best graphical effects of any console game this year, but I like Assassin's Creed Revelations to provide more pretty pictures. I actually think BF3 is a little too heavy on the post-processing.
