Hopefully one of you guys have had a similar experience and/or is a mechanic.

My 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix has 6 settings of air-condiitioning levels. Off-1-2-3-4-5.

About a year ago, when I turned it to "1", no air would come out and hasn't come out since.

Then today levels 2 and 3 were not working. I switched it to four and got blasted with some briefly musky air. Now the air conditioning in my vehicle is either full-blast (4 and 5) or off. The air still appears to be cool.

    Is this an electrical problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Matt

Sounds like a A/C Blower Resister. It's not getting power to the motor on the lower settings.

Also, might want to look into changing that cabin filter if you're getting "musky air"... my car is about 3 and a half years old, and changing that filter has really cleared up the stale smell from the a/c.
