Im looking for a Csonka jersey. Ive seen a few on ebay...but they look flat out ****ty. If anybody has any info on where I could get it, I would appreciate it. At the Bills game, a guy told me (Dolphins fan) that Dolphins don't sell them because he wanted a bigger % of the sale than anybody else, the Dolphins refused, and stashed (or shipped them to Africa, idk) them away. Any truth to this?
There's zero truth to any of that, except that the jerseys on ebay are indeed CRAP. Authentic Csonka jerseys go for hundreds of dollars, from about $500 to upwards of $2500 for signed, game-worn collectibles. Check the Mitchell and Ness site occasionally since they were the last to offer real (authorized) throwbacks...the ones that DON'T fall apart once you wash them.
Mitchell and Ness put one out early on when they released with the Bob Griese Jersey. They are out there but are very rare. The next best thing is to contact hr-derby.com they will make you an authentic one down to the same letters of any player.
no Czonka jerseys around besides those very few mitchell & ness, you might find some "authentic" ones but none of them will match the 1970s fins jersey( plain aqua jersey with numbers white/orange and a round collar not the v-neck)
The ones on Ebay are usually crappy... If it's less than $30, it's too good to be true. Decent authentics can be had for $55-85 on Ebay, but I'm talking authentics of guys like Brown, Ginn, Bess, JT, and Porter... Marinos are a tad bit more expensive... and I have not seen a Czonka jersey that wasn't of the $20 rip off that is just obnoxiously fake.... and I am probably being too nice when I say obnoxiously fake. I bought a Teddy Ginn authentic for $50 in '07 and a Ronnie Brown authentic that cost the same thing. Both look pretty real (the Ginn one moreso than the Brown one) but I know they are fake... but people who seem them on the street think they are real anyways..
Almost everything on eBay is fake u have to really know how to spot fakes. I can gaurantee u won't find a real zonk on the bay Posted via Mobile Device
I have one,but there's no way in heck Im selling it,same goes for my autographed Bob Griese HOF induction pass
found a "real" one on ebay size runs smaller than original but stitching and everything else is great
I go to autograph shows every once in a while. This one show (CSA shows) in Virgina had a couple of Csonka jerseys. I bought one there a couple of years ago and had Csonka sign it at the show. It now framed on my wall. I would suggest to try to go to an autograph show that Csonka is at, and see if they have any there.
