Beck starting with the 1's in the last practice before the 1st preseason game - mean anything? Didn't Sparano say he's abandoned the rotation?

 

HE abandoned the two up, one down rotation. That's what he meant.

I like that Johnny is starting to settle down some, it sounds as if hes getting in a groove, first week he went conservative with the checkdowns, now hes starting to get his feel and tempo....just going on my gut from what iam hearing,

CK made the point that while mcnown was good in the first three days but started to regress. it sounds as if beck is doing the opposite.only getting better.

Both Beck and Henne working into quality QB's would be a fantastic problem for us to have.

 

It took a while to track it down, but it's the first thing I thought of as well.

I just hunted all over for that dang thing... good job Mikey

 

It does seem like hes improving this week. He still had a fumble today but those have been much less frequent. He did throw a pick but it was said to be more of a miscommunication between Beck and his reciever and not a bad decision like forcing a pass or just completely missing his mark.

Another thing I've noticed is that Beck is throwing a lot more bombs like the 50 yarder to Kircus. I love hearing about how hes hitting those long shots with accuracy. Omar is gonna have to abandon the checkdown nickname if Beck can keep that up.

One other thing to notice too is that McCown only got a few snaps today. I'm not positive, but it seems like Sparano is giving Beck and Henne more action since hes abandoned the 2 up 1 down rotation. I hope thats a sign that he wants one of the young guys to start and McCown to be our back up.
