Atlanta Falcons acquire Asante Samuel for a 7th round pick

He wanted to go there so it's a great fit. People forget that was a team some thought were going to beat GB and win the NFC....ofcourse Eli n crew ruined alot peoples hopes.

 

Great schematic fit too. Damn, a 7th though? That's a really good price and he would have fit here too.

Agree, I think he wanted out of there last year. Atlanta makes sense, he only has a few solid years left and they are ready to win NOW.

 

I recall him on Twitter saying something about wanting to get moved. This was a while back.

 

Good timing also, as I'm sure Falcons fans are antsy considering they don't draft a player until late Friday night...barring a trade.

 

True, though you never know with Dimitroff. He can be the ultimate aggressor when you least expect it.

 

Contract cash, the 7th rd pick was just more or less so the Falcons could be certain to acquire him and negotiate a more cap friendly deal...imo
