http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-flspdolnotes22sbaug22,0,6433263.story Given what Sparano is saying now, Mauia has little chance of making this roster unless he POPS off the screen at us with great play in the next two pre-season games AND Boomer slumps. In terms of tight ends, none of them have looked impressive to me.
Nice find. Yeah, I think Mauia is good as gone after reading those comments. As for the Tight Ends, I think its one of our weakest spots. Peele has been a good blocker but I remember someone here said that he's making too much money for a backup so that's a big question. Ryan hasn't impressed me. I think he dropped a wide-open pass in the JAX game and then dropped another TD in the end zone in training camp. Can Ryan play ST's? Didn't he block on ST's in NY? Moving on, Martin had a period in camp where he dropped a ball every day, literally. However, I recall Sparano saying that he has improved his blocking.
Grigsby has been impressive to me! Fiery guy who catches really well! Fasano will be the starter and should be backed up by Peele who has become a GREAT YAC guy and a good blocker. Martin has his moments but lacks consistency.
