I find it funny that some of you think Brian Hartline shouldn't be kept because he only caught 1 touchdown pass last year, but at the same time criticize Miami for trading Wes Welker who caught 1 TD in 3 years in Miami.

Brian Hartline has his value range just like any other receiver, just like Mike Wallace has a value range. Brian Hartline has a couple of things that Mike Wallace doesn't have though. One, he fits the offense because he has position versatility and can play all three receiver spots. Two, he has a budding rapport with the young quarterback Miami is trying to build the team around.

I love this info, thanks for posting it. I agree that Jennings, Hartline and Patton would be PERFECT for this offense and make us legit right away. Regarding Robert Woods, before this season and the breakout of Marquise Lee, Woods was projected as a TOP 5 pick. He was the best receiver off the board in most 2013 mocks last year. Ill stand by my original opinion though that Jennings, Hartline and Patton would be my ideal WR corps this season with bess and matthews rounding it out. That would leave us a ton of room to address our other needs via the draft and FA.

The problem with that comparison is that Brian Hartline has been a significant part of the passing offense for 4 seasons. Wes Welker was only a significant part of the Dolphins' passing offense for 1 season. This touchdown thing for Hartline didn't just suddenly become a problem in 2012. It was a problem in 2010 and 2011 as well.

You're right. And that value range is about $3.5 to $5.0 million. And not on a team that already has Davone Bess as a significant part of the pass offense.

He's got 6 TDs in his career already. He could conceivably get to 10 TDs by 2015. :)

1 TD as a starter is really bad, but in his defense there were a couple underthrown balls that should have been TD's...point is no one scares any team in red zone, Bess, Hartline, any of them. It is not the catches and moving the chains down the field it is getting in that endzone.
