you have time to get out.. cnn meteorologist was asked what he thought about people that were hunkering down in the keys.considering the STORM SURGE that is being projected there and for the sw coast of Florida.... ''I don't think their gonna make it''. was his answer.. I believe you have time to get to a shelter...its not about the wind at this point and whether you can survive this, its about the fact that your home could very well be under water or at the least, completely flooded..and there is nothing you can do about it..the water will come in..and you will be scared and have to leave...but where are you gonna go then? just drive to Miami to a shelter.
Dating back to the Ernest Hemingway era, there were a lot of wooden houses in Key West. Are they still there? Likely won't be after tomorrow.
