Haven't really listened to them. Not too much into the punk scene. More along the lines of The Living End, The Clash, etc.
good band. best of the MTV "punk" bands. They're no Bad Brains or Agnostic Front but better than Green Day and Good Charlotte
MTV punk band is a little harsh. Ruby Soho was a long time ago. And it's not Rancid's fault they appeal to both the hard corp punk rockers and mainstream music fans. An "unfortunate" side affect of good music. That's what makes them one of the few relevant punk bands "still around". Sorry, not sure why I'm defending them when you didn't really insult them.
