A bit of shameless self-promotion. My new band Power Theory is playing the Warriors of Metal Fest this coming Saturday before recording starts on the upcoming album "Driven By Fear" on Pure Steel Records in Germany. The band is being produced by bassist Peter Baltes of Accept, and the plan is to hopefully have the album finished before we head out on the road for the second half of the Masters of Metal tour along with Seven Witches, Leatherwolf and Vicious Rumors. We'll be hitting 13 cities starting in Philly on October 3rd. As soon as I get the list of all the dates and cities I'll post them in case anyone wants to hear some good metal and have a beer afterward.
That's not THAT crazy. Hell, Pagan, is 62 years old. Metal isn't for the young anymore. Those people that liked it in the day are going to be getting their AARP cards soon.
If you don' mind me asking, what happened with the old band? Something happen recently? I've been off facebook for about 6 months now, dont know squat anymore lol
Disorganization bro. That band had everything laid out for it, and the megalomaniac fronting the band decided it was okay to call the shots without consulting with anyone else. When you find out news about your band by having your girlfriend call you and tell you because she saw it on Facebook, it's time to move on. Signed bands shouldn't operate that way. Myself, the drummer AND the guitarist quit, that should tell you something. Were replaced with scabs for a performace at a festival in Chicago that was so cringe inducing that it vindicated our decision.
That sucks. Will Power Theory ever have a giant space vagina eye on their album cover though? i miss the giant space vagina eye.
LMAO THAT band is still together, albeit as a recording project only. I was talking about the OTHER band which shall remain nameless. In a funny twist, the guitarist and drummer formed another band and called it "Ichabod Krane." So the giant space vagina eye is still around, but won't be on the next album cover. In all seriousness, I saw the artwork for the upcoming PT album. It was done by an artist from Germany named Timo Weurz. As soon as it's finalized I'll post it. In the meantime...first band photo. Ugly bunch of ****s, but notice I made sure to represent our beloved Phins.
I say this with all due respect....I hate Power Theory's logo. The font is good, but it looks like someone (who didn't know what they were doing) went silly with photoshop's bevel and emboss layer styles. plus the kerning (space between letters) is all wonky. I hope the album art will have a tweaked version, if not let me know and I can take a crack at fixing it if you want.
This photo was just hastily thrown together. Usually the logo is flat without any enhancements, like it was on the last album cover. By all means bro, take a crack if you have time. I can always submit it to management and see what they say.
See to me the flat look is better than the treatment on the photo. I think there can be something done to it though, so its not flat. I'll see what i can do.

When you first started playing the kazoo did you ever think it would take you this far? Seriously though, if you're ever in Texas or New Mexico, I'll try to go watch.
It was harrowing to give up my first love - the accordion - for the kazoo, but I realized the instrument change opened far more doors for my career. As for the tour, I think there might be a stop in Texas. I'm not sure yet. I heard Las Vegas and Arizona also.
The ugly aftermath (emphasis on the "ugly" part) of 40 minutes of headbanging. Just found out we might be opening for Accept in Indianapolis. Fingers crossed.
Don't have any live shots yet except for these two. Our photographer will be getting us a bunch soon. Had to post the solo one just to once again represent the Dolphins. In case you're wondering, the writing above the logo says: "The Perfect Season 1972 ~ 17-0"
FinD Really did well fixing this. This looks like an old 2000 "Angel Fire" website header Good **** man, you are wanna crazy looking band (which fits perfectly). Wouldnt wanna fight any of you, but would def enjoy sharing a beer.
I know...was thrown together so quick just to get something out there. FinD did an awesome job. If the tour goes through NC come check us out. Beer is definitely something we do well...although I prefer Jager.
Hoping that we do pass through areas where I can meet some of the board members. Would definitely be cool.
Damn man congrats on all the success! If you're ever around Jersey performing I'm there. I'll be the dude screaming for you guys to play some Neil Young. Would love to get a beer or 2 afterwards as well. I just started playing guitar and would love to pick your brain on tips* as well as just talking about sports and music. *I know you're the bass player but I assume you know a thing or 2 about guitar as well.
Jersey isn't that far from Philly bro. October 3rd. Don't know the venue yet. I'm the new guy and haven't gotten all the details.
Thrown together really quick. This is a song we recorded to send overseas because we're being considered for the Up The Hammers Festival in Athens, Greece next March. I just made the vid this morning with Windows Movie Maker, so don't expect Spielberg.
Thanks man but I can't take credit for that. Song was written before I joined. I've co-written three songs with the guitarist for the new album though. "Digital Zombies," which is about people who are addicted to social media. The title track "Driven By Fear," and one called "Fool No More."
