Man, I was SO hoping when I got home from my flag game the site would be flooded with "Merged-Sparano Fired"

Have to be calm Bro, well u don't "have" to be, this is a football decision heading into labor squals with no Qb, that has to be weighed against making a move.

Which BTW is why I'd prefer if a move is made we find a Defensive guy, easier to implement.

Im slowly leaning Gruden because he is an offensive and QB guru, but not at the expense of a 4-3 switch that his teams have ran in the past.

I really think Gruden with control but basically leaving the defense to Nolan would be a great fit down there.

Doesn't work like that, if Gruden is hired he has full control, Nolan walks, Irish leaves, that is how it rolls, there is no saving the productive bits and removing the unproductive with a Coaching Change.

If Gruden has any plans on installing his 4-3 he can keep broadcasting as far as Im concerned....I dont remember him as a total control freak but who knows.

That may be so, but on 12/20 he was quoted as declaring that Henning is doing a great job and that he'd love to have him back next season. Now I know about coach-speak and not throwing anyone under the bus, but those quotes were effusive and unequivocal. If Tony's that dense, there's no hope for his vision of the future so it becomes just a matter of time when his biological coaching clock stops ticking. Consequently, he needs to be kicked to the curb sooner than later

I've been saying this for a long time,:thanx: I never had any doubts or illusions about Sparano, Henne or Henning, no matter what the harassment endured in maintaining these opinions:crapstrom:.
I spoke up long ago & often. unfortunately, I was right.
:butthead:it is what it is: obvious & ugly

    now lets fix it:dolphin:

Almost all of those coaches have really good QB's, the exception being Ryan. The Jet's have a lot of talent at all other positions except QB, so Sanchez has a lot of help. If Sparano has/had a good QB, we wouldn't be having these discussions. Can our team succeed with a significant improvement in offensive talent across the board? Maybe, but somehow we have to seriously upgrade at QB. That will correlate to success more than a coaching change.
