gates + shockey is the realization of a dream of mine. ive always thought it would be insanely deadly to have 2 deadly TEs in the same formation. think of how much attention must be taken away from the WRs and RBs to cover both of them. gonzo and gates would be the ideal combo in a perfect world however. i notice that hester isnt on the list. is that because my offer of a 5th was the highest you received? im the only one in this league who likes hester. thats why he fell to me in the 5th round last year. thats what i paid for him then, and thats what im willing to pay for him now.
I'd just wait for Shockey to go on the IR, that and now the Chargers are without an every down type back and with two guys with pretty much the same running style leads to a team to already adapt for it. That and well...the chargers haven't really had that go to WR yet, or develop one, so yeah I'm not overly worried about that offense.

i wouldnt call his offense DOA just yet. Rivers is heavily underated IMO. He had one of the highest passer ratings in the league, but was overshadowed by the crazy mishaps in the beginning of the season. Also, Paul spent two first round pick on the offensive side fo the ball last season. He's in a position right now where he could add Beanie Wells and Hakeem Nicks, and all of the sudden Shockey is the guy youre forgetting to cover.

CC caught five TD passes in the first five games... he didn't catch a single touchdown pass the rest of the season... he played in 7 more regular season games by the way. For some reason, playoff stats aren't showing on the site I'm looking at... I believe CC caught maybe one touchdown in the playoffs... not sure what VJ did... regardless... for the year... VJ had 59rcpts for 1098 yards CC had 33rcpts for 462 yards... case closed... game set and match... in your face... thank you come again... sit down... lol...
He went down with a hammy injury or something when we played him (ironically he went down catching a TD pass) and he didn't reallyget back to form until late in the season.
