Another Uniform Thread!

I think you're in the vast minority with white being your favorite color (especially with vehicles). The only reason they make so many white trucks is for fleet sales since white makes company logos stand out the best. Very few consumers opt for white cars/trucks on purpose.

Nothing wrong with that, of course...I was just very surprised to see that opinion. Good job being different!

all these mock ups when they change everything are really bad imo.
i just want to see mock ups with our current logo/design but with a different color scheme. Those may change my opinion.

I guess i'm in the minority here(not a heat fan) but i really like the Vice Heat uniforms.

Last time I heard, the dolphin is a deep ocean creature.... What the Miami Dolphins color is not 'deep ocean', it is a 'just offshore shallow wading area color.'

This is Deep ocean: Less than ten miles off the coast of Miami through Salerno is the prettiest blue you will ever see. Why we did not choose that, I will never know, unless the league had some form of hissy fit if the 'Phins chose blue of that nature.

I have never liked the coral reef color which was adopted... but there are so many other teams using blues of different hues that we must have had to choose a color which looked something like a Florida Keys shallow water wading area. I have been in the middle of the Atlantic in the destroyer squadron in which my ship was steaming, and watched dolphins surf the bow wave when we were doing 25 kt, and then for fun pass across the bow and launch themselves ahead of the ship. It would almost be beyond the realm of possibility that the team could change colors to something that looked like the realm when the real dolphins roam, but it sure would look like we were ready to get into the deep waters instead of the wading pool!

The uniforms, in any era, also looks so much better when the players can wear aqua or orange as a base layer, instead of white. I hate so much that they aren't allowed to now.

The current all aqua uniforms remind me of hospital scrubs. Don't like them at all. They'd be the worse if it weren't for the existence of the Sunny Delight uniforms.

These all aqua's were fun once in a while. Not a huge fan of it though. Don't care for the currents that way.

I agree, except that I also despise the current all whites. They've stripped them of far too much aqua.

And speaking of grey - I was reminded of these shorts from training camp a few years ago. If I recall, quite a few people like that grey/orange/aqua combo.

On its own, I like the shade a lot. I wear shades close to that with pants and shirts. But not on the Fins.

Bring back the old school uniform and logo!

I'm ok with black alts, however, the pink is brutal. I'll stick with Black/Aqua/Orange.

Like many fans, I want the throwbacks full-time. Some don't want it, but I think the majority of Fins fans do.

Also for the record, big fan of the All Aqua. Not a big fan of the all orange. Orange jerseys with white pants is more than enough orange for me. And I can only handle that once in a blue moon (specifically for night games.) During day games they're a major eye-sore.

I still remain hating the current logo, but I won't abandon my team no matter what they wear. I don't care how many fans try to convince me the dead fish swimming through a ring of fire (makes no sense) looks good.. It just doesn't, not to me. That being said... Fins are life.

The throwbacks aren't my first choice, but they're better than anything we've worn the last two and a half decades.

And I really like the new logo. Its sweet. Just totally hate the lighter, pastel shade of aqua, and how almost all aqua has been removed from the white over white uniforms. I also hate white facemasks on white helmets as a general rule.

IMO one of the best things about our uniform is the current logo. The old logo was routinely among the most mocked on national polls for as long as I can remember. I generally like our new uniforms but IMO the logo was far and away the biggest upgrade.

I also don't see a black alternative as making much sense for Miami. I did like the navy ones though. They just seemed to blend well with our primary colors. They would be a nice alternative to bring out during night games.

As for the earlier period, I think that the simple answer is that a lot of people were on drugs in the late 70s through the 80s, especially those in the entertainment industry. Things got really weird in all aspects of pop culture, and the effect bled into almost every part of people's lives, including sports and uniforms.

I was 6-14, and it seems we couldn't have more polar opposite uniform/logo opinions. :butthead:
