That's my question whenever I hear one of these stories. I mean, sure, the teacher is messed up and probably psycho, but as a 14 year old I coulda lived with it...
Debra LaFave! She teached at Greco Middle High. Dam it I didn't get to go there. According to articles, she got raped as a little girl and now has some disorder or something because of it which enables her to do those types of things.
I'm thinking the same thing. It seemed when I was going through school they hired the younger teachers to teach the younger kids, and all the older teachers were teaching middle and high school. Now they just put the young teachers with the older students. Not smart in my opinion. They don't have the experience to handle them. (no pun intended, )

here in Dallas there is a shortage of teachers, you don't even have to have a teaching certificate, they'll put you on a probationary thing and you can earn it while your teaching.

Where I went to school as a 14 year old, the teachers were younger but were no prize, that's for sure. OTOH, at my grammar school, our music teacher was Miss Hillsborough County...
See, when someone like Debby LaFave does it, its not a crime. When a hideous beast of a teacher does it...then it is. Its purely subjective of course, but that is how I feel.
The thing is chances are a 14 year old girl would also be quite happy if she had sex with a 26 year old hot teacher... yet our reaction would be one of disgust and anger.
I'm a good bit past 14 and I'd still hit it! Maybe I can get a conjugal visit set up. And how ironic the other one is named Sweet...
What I am saying as cool as it might sound to us, people do realize they are basically joking about child molestation right?
