Andrew Garfield to star in 'Spider-Man' reboot

The newest Spiderman trailer is out now (sorry no link). I was a little eh when they originally announced they were doing the reboot but after watching it count me in. It looks like it might be a pretty good movie. I'm not a big fan of the Lizard's look but I think it's going to be good (definitely better than Spiderman 3).

 

That trailer was great. I now can't wait for the film.

I did not like the trilogy. I also didn't like Toby as Spidey either, but at least, as Nabo said, he worked his way in to it, brought some depth. Im not so sure this guy will make it either, because in my eyes, PP is a witty, funny fella, with a smart comeback on the tip of his tongue. I LOVE Emma stone, and at first I didn't like her as Gwen, but I think it's growing on me.

 

The first two Spiderman movies were great imo and I was a huge fan of Tobey Maguire.


However, I don't know what the hell happened with the 3rd one.

 

I may be alone in this, but I particularly like the scene (in the trailer) in the back seat of the car as Spiderman encounters the carjacker. You see some of the classic smart *** Peter Parker that I think was lost in the first trilogy. Also it looks like Peter will be highly intelligent in this film like he should. Overall appears to be a much more accurate and true telling of the story (minus whatever line they are doing with his parents)>

 

I never liked Macguire as spider-man. He never moved the way spider-man moved as I have always pictured it. Every movement is meant to be exaggerated in my opinion and Macguire either didn't get it or he didn't know how. I'm sorry but it bugged me a lot and I don't know if it bugged anyone else.

In this new trailer it looks like Garfield does a much better job. You can tell how he moves when he flicks the web or sits on the spread out webs in the trailer that he knows how it should be done.

 

I am hoping the new spider-man captures the wit and wise cracks that Spider-Man uses to combat his fear.

 

When he shoots the multiple web balls at the guy, I thought that's how Spiderman attacks. I can't recall from the original trilogy a scene where Spiderman ever did anything like that.

 

I had zero excitement for this reboot, but that trailer gives me hope. I'm now looking forward this one.

lmao I thought for sure this would be terrible but the trailer looks so much better than that other sorry series.

Ya, I know I'll get bombed on for that but I hated pretty much everything about Rami's movies. Save for Willam Defoe and the guy who played Octopuss who's name I can't think of.

Emma Stone is very overrated. No real body and kind of a goofy face at times.

Bah. a woman is hot whether she has a slight speech impediment or not. My philosophy: you can't date or marry a girl if she doesn't know how to talk.
besides, if she has a good sense of humor, the speech thing can be fun. My wife is from southeastern Ohio, I get to make fun of her accent all the time.

I think the Lizard looks ok, certainly better than some of the other pictures going around the internet (a photo leaked of the Lizard from a Toy box and it looked pretty crappy).

 

I agree with you, it's simply ok. However it is possible that looks a lot better in the movie.

 

Eh, no worse than Venom. As long as the rest of the movie is done decently, the lizards looks shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Looks decent. And by decent I mean 10x better than that garbage w/Maguire.

Let's hope that if this one is done right, we get venom and/or carnage in the next.
