I had to throw it Andre Johnson in the title. Hell of a WR (and a Cane) that many (average fan?) dont appreciate because he's a Texan. That said, Texans and Jaguars game thread.

All I know is Andre Johnson's a key fantasy player on one of my squads and I wish we had him on the Dolphins or someone like him.

Does Del Rio think he is Fonzie or something? What's with the leather coach?

We've all talked about possibly Dunta Robinson being a Dolphin because he plays the run and pass well. I wish he'd end up here but those constant injuries are probably going to stop that from happening. On another note, glad to see Xavier Adibi starting. I liked him coming out.

I know they say only two things come out of Texas. That is obviously a steer on the Texans helmet. So does that make the Cowboys a bunch of queers? I'm thinking so. Romo, homo coincidence?

(Don't be offended if you're gay. Not intended to gay bash here. It's just jokes.)

They need to give Jones-Drew the ball more. The guy's a playmaker.

Sage is terrible. He can put out a great game sometimes, but man he makes way to many mistakes, and hes getting worse, not better.

Andre Johnson is possibly the best NFL WR, and the Texans WR corps in general is top 5 at least.

Andre Johnson has been the best WR in the NFL since the end of the 2006 season. He slightly outshines Fitzgerald for number one.

Oh, and I need him and Daniels to score a combined 4 TDs tonight.

Both are underrated. Very. I think Andre's been the best WR this season, I'm not going to talk about the past.

    Nice avatar by the way.

I wonder if Slaton wins the starting job outright next season.

My fantasy team would be very appreciative if he did.

He will, no doubt about it in my mind. I don't see anyone replacing a guy who fits perfectly in the scheme.

He's earned the right to start. He's among the league leaders in ypg and he didn't even start the whole season.

I hope so. He sure is fun to watch.

I think his body just needs to get used to taking a beating for 16 weeks and the full workload of the NFL. Adding just a few more lbs of muscle wouldnt hurt either.

I think he'll be starting. I think the guy that will get replaced in the off-season is at the QB spot, Schaub and/or Rosenfels. I'd look for them to take a QB on first day.

I have a hard time seeing him being a every down back. He has the talents but at 5'9", 200, I have a hard time seeing him taking the beating for sixteen weeks. They'll probably bring in another guy to give him plays off.

I don't know about that Alen. Westbrook is listed at 5'10, 203 and he's an EVERYTHING back, not just an every down back.

lol, Garrard's notching a negative right now in fantasy. Can't believe he's still being used as a starting QB in some leagues (non-injury related of course).

lol, well, I think all teams do that. I don't think there are any teams that put the same RB out there on every single play they run every single game. I think he'll make a fine 20-22 carry back.

How many backs are out there like Westbrook?

Lol, yeah I kept thinking about Chester Taylor's first year in Minnesota. As you can tell, I don't always think through stuff before I post it as you've caught me off-guard two days in a row lol.

Slaton wont take a season of punishment running 20 times a game between the tackles imo. They need someone to help spell him a bit and keep the workload down, and to be used in some of the short yardage stuff.

That said, Slaton is clearly the most talented back on the Texans, and with a capable backup will be more than fine manning the position. They just need to find a QB. Schaub is pretty good actually, but he just cant stay healthy, which doesnt bode well for him.
Neither does the possible departure of Kubiak. Make no mistake, this is a pretty talented team and they are underperforming and making lots of mistakes. That comes down to one person, the coach. They were supposed to go to the next level this season. They have. Unfornately it was the wrong way.
I can see Kubiak given the door, and the Texans drafting a new QB while giving Schaub one more shot. Sage just isnt a starter.

Alen there aren't many backs like Westbrook I'll give you that but if we're basing stuff on size and not talent there are backs comparable to him. Look at Sproles - he's smaller.

Westbrook just plays much bigger than his size. I've never seen a guy that small with so much power.

Edit: Aside from myself of course.

Westbrook and the Iggles have struggled mightily in redzone and short yardage situations.

Stature-wise, they're comparable. Plays made on the field and workloads? No, especially Sproles.

I think one of them is playing in this game: Maurice Jones-Drew. He's very Westbrook-ish. He had a good number of carries here at UCLA in addition to being a primary punt/kick returner. Best RB we've produced in years and I can't blame him for declaring early (honoring his late grandfather's wishes).

not as of right now. all i'm sayin' is that you said slaton has the talent but not the size. i'm just saying westbrook is around his size. he's a rookie. he could be a westbrook.. even if he's not and is a back that's not a westbrook he might be able to do it.
