Damnit. Shame he couldnt stay healthy. I liked this signing alot. That explains why we saw so much of Carroll Sunday, and I'm assuming we'll see quite a bit from his this week too.
Ugly. I say, play Nolan Carroll the rest of the year. Use him and Smith beside Vonte as the 3 CB's the rest of the way - no matter what happens. That way, they can get a real look at these guys (Smith and Carroll), both can learn and develop (Carroll especially) and you can get closer to answering the question: "Can Sean Smith be a starter or do we need to find another CB next year?"
It's not too surprising, missing all that time at his age and coming back sounds like a hamstring injury waiting to happen. Disappointing though, I thought all things considered he was playing ok.
