Sigh. There's not much to be excited about in Miami as far as coaches, huh?. Out of Jim Mora, Teryl Austin, Mike Shanahan, and Doug Marrone. Which one's the "lesser of the two evils" here?. Austin- Unproven HC, who's been doing a terrible job in Detroit. Dont see why him and Gase are such hot HC candidates Jim Mora- NO, just NO Mike Shanahan-Guy's a dinosaur and has been out of coaching for what?. 4 years now? Doug Marrone- Maybe?. I mean he actually did pretty decent in Buffalo. And he did it with EJ Manuel,,mind you. But if you're looking for QB development. He's probably not the best candidate.
Well, it only makes sense to begin the interviews now which means, yeah, there will be several guys brought in who don't seem like the best solution. I'd be interest in Shanahan if he had the dedication to do it but he probably doesn't so he's probably out. Austin seems under qualified as does Gase. I don't know enough about Mora or Marrone but my hunch is they're not great candidates.
If the names you mentioned are the only choices, I would take Shanahan first and Marrone second. I really have no interest in any of the other coaches on this list. I hope Hue Jackson eventually becomes a serious candidate for the job. He has risen to the top of my, most wanted list in regards to who I most want to be the Dolphins next head coach.
With the way Marrone left Buffalo, Campbell would be a far better choice than that sequel of **** waiting to happen. Get used to it Dolphans. With this ****ed up organizational structure and a cap that will be crippled by Suh's mammoth contract, this team isn't going to attract the best candidates.
I hope they dont make a quick hire and are just staying busy until the Panthers are done playing.. Mike Shula must interview here
