Saw a poll on miamidolphins.com about what was your favorite all time Jets win. Mine was last yr. season finale to win division, mostly because it was in my era and I WAS THERE!!!! whats yours
that was my second would have been my first but I attended last yr. So Ill always remember that. Ill be 90 yrs old in a Home with Alzheimer's and stil remember that sh*t
There's been so many that it's hard to choose... last year's was huge fake spike was nice, great personal memories from that game there was the Pete Carroll choke motion and then we went on to win that game then of course, the AFC Championship game with AJ Duhe in the rain back in 1986 the 45 to 3 win was a great one because it came after THAT 51-45 OT loss hard to choose..
last year. not only did we go to their house and beat them for the division and ruin their dreams. we did it with the QB that they didnt want. and we did it in a year where everyone was expecting us to get our asses kicked, while the jets were being crowned after 11 games. We ****ed them over sooooo bad!! They fired their coach because of what we did to them. I love it!!!!
It was truly a thing of beauty...... In one game, it erased the pain of the last decade caused by the Jets...in one, beautiful, perfect scenario of a game. Because NOTHING they did to us, came even close to that. Watching their fans file out of the stadium with their heads hung low made me feel 20 years younger..
damn GISH just got me ready for a turnaround season all over again right now!!! **** the jets up monday night, boys! Ronnie+Ricky=300yds rushing! haha
In the end, we weren't in the playoffs regardless of you beating us. HOWEVER... It really did help drive home the point that this team really friggin' needed to get rid of Mangini and a lot of his players. You guys contributed to exposing him. Imagine if Favre played well and we beat you guys and looked solid and still missed. Maybe they don't fire Mangini. Still, I won't lie, I was miserable that day. It was a friend's birthday party, and we watched the game beforehand. I was wearing my Namath jersey and was miserable. So miserable. Throughout the entire party. I called Brett Favre's 4th quarter interception EXACTLY how it happened when the Jets lined up. That made it sting more.
I had the misfortune of wearing a Dolphins hat last year when I bought it for my dad for Christmas (sizing), then had to wear it after Week 17 as a part of a bet. It just felt wrong.
haha my dads a Jets fan and Im always buyin him Dolphins stuff so he always gets me Jets stuff only thing is he'll wear the fins hat but I play tug of war with my dog with the jets shirt
That was my favorite Jets win... Of course... this was a second best... Was there as well.. Chad and Leon... winning it for the Jets. BZ
lol, I watched this at Alehouse last year, which has a surprisingly large amount of Jets fans (pretty equal to Dolphins fans) there. I was such a belligerent a-hole on my way out, I'm surprised I didn't get in a fight. Ahhhh good times, that really was something special. They brought in the gunslinger mercenary, and couldn't even take on our 1-15 rebound team. They had to retool their entire team because of what we did to them, no better feeling. And the work they did this year won't exactly make them relevant in 5, it was a quick turnaround remedy. I look forward to watching them sink back into mediocrity soon.
No doubt about it, the AFC Championship game in the rain.... I remember the Jets whining about the Fins letting the field get muddy... lol
Yeah....some guys over on the Jets message board called Shula a "scumbag" and when asked to explain their criticism, they said......."He left the tarp off the field in 1983." *shakes head*
I can relate to that.My sisters and their husbands are jets fans and they sent me a shirt one Christmas as a gag.The Christmas later I sent all of them a Christmas pic of my baby girl using that 'rag' to wash my car. My parents said that was pretty clever... BTW, I had to rewash the car afterwards. It was tainted and I thought it would never come off.
If they had won that Super Bowl, I'd consider that the best season in Dolphins history. 3 wins against the Jest and a world championship. Not even the perfect season can beat that.
he did.. I'm glad That is my all time favorite.. the AFC Championship game. Last years is growing on me though.. those two and the fake spike rounds out my favorites.
That game in which Ricky totally ran all over the place. Jests had no answer. If only he had his head on straight earlier in his career.
Dunno if it was the same game, but in 2003 at Giants Stadium I remember Fielder giving it to Ricky on third at 15 or so and he converted. You could feel the air going out of every Jet fan there.
I seem to recall a Monday night game many years ago that was one of my favorites. I know it was towards the end of the 3rd quarter when my Mom told me I couldn't stay up and watch the rest of the game because it was a school night and we already had the game won...
