Disagree with some of this. 1. He hasn't been put in many situations to "break away" from defenders after a catch. Even yesterday on the slant that he caught, there was I think, two defenders around him when he caught it. 2. He's not Anquan Boldin or Dwayne Bowe...to expect him to block like them is ridiculous. He's 5'10", and 180 soaking wet. That being said, I recall a run play yesterday where he had a really nice block on the CB on his side. 3. His route running is way better than it was when he came into the league. He can still improve it, but he is getting open. People are upset cause of his drops, and they're going after him for everything, no matter how trivial. He had a good game yesterday, give it a rest for a day or two. Posted via Mobile Device
He ducked under the defenders arms and fell. Had he not fell there was a chance he could have went but your nitpicking it man. It was a great catch with traffic all around him. We all know he likes the sidelines and going to the ground. So what? The man is way to thin to be taking abuse and he NEEDS to be on the field. By all means Tedd, do not take that hit...
Ginn is a very adequate blocker and his route running is vastly improved since he got here. He needs a ton more work on routes but I see much improvement. So I agree for sure and especially the last part. Heck, I was so pissed at him at one point I did some of that myself but for sure he helped the team win the game yesterday and deserves praise.
