You can be as happy as you want about Jake Long's arrival in Miami. But who wants to watch an offensive tackle go through practice drills all weekend? Let's not kid ourselves. This minicamp would be less entertaining than Jason Taylor's next appearance on Dancing With The Stars if it weren't for the presence a quarterback. It is time to find out what second-round pick Chad Henne can do.

    WIDE RECEIVERS?

There is one problem with focusing on Henne. He isn't likely to have any elite players catching his passes. After neglecting the wide receiver position with each of the team's nine picks, the Dolphins at least added five undrafted free agents to give the team enough players to run routes for a rookie minicamp. Then again, who knows? We will watch Hawaii's Davone Bess, above, and Georgia Southern's Jayson Foster to see what they can do.

For ALL of our QB's sake we definately need one of these UDFA WR's to pan out for us. Im still very uncomfortable going into the season with Ginn, Wilford and... Hagan.... oh... and how could i forget Tab Perry and David Kircus.. yikes... I guess the only good thing about these guys is they at least have some experience..

    STAYING HEALTHY

Three of the team's nine picks -- including defensive end Phillip Merling -- have dealt with some considerably serious injuries. And in the NFL, it is never good to get tagged early as ''injury prone.'' Those words can follow a player throughout his career. That said, it is going to be important for Merling (sports hernia), Lionel Dotson (shoulder, hamstring) and Lex Hilliard (Achilles' tendon) to show that they are healthy enough to make it on the next level.

That's a good point.. how bad is Merling? is he 100% now?

I was wondering the same thing as a hernia can take some time to get over and really has an affect on your core strength.

It's rough. Here's a video illustrating how it is to "live with a hernia"

Hmm, won't let me link it. I'll fix this!
