With Patriots releasing him I would like to see him sign at least to the practice squad as originally planned by the Dolphins.
yeah at this point, I'd sign him to the practice squad and say... Al LapuaWHO? ... Al Lapuaho is the DT we signed to the PS in his place (we worked him out the Friday before 53 cuts).
I don't believe so. The two week thing comes into play if a team signs your player off the practice squad. He has to stay on their 53 for 2 weeks I believe. EDIT, it's actually three games he must stay on the 53 man roster. Francis never made it to our practice squad so this doesn't apply.
I know if a team signs a guy off the practice roster his has to be on the roster for a specified time (2 or 3 weeks I believe).
I can't find anything in the CBA that states the practice squad is frozen for the first 2 weeks of the season.
yep... there's that whole thing about not being able to sign a PS guy from an upcoming opponent within six days of the game.
So they sign him to the roster, pump him for info, then release him. What a dbag move. Yes, hoping we sign him as well.
