here is so more info, Titans | Contract won't be sticking point in potential P. Jones trade Sat, 12 Apr 2008 06:49:59 -0700 ESPN.com reports any potential deal involving suspended Tennessee Titans CB Pacman Jones and the Dallas Cowboys will not be held up due to Jones' contractual issues, according to agent Manny Arora. Arora said he won't take up Jones' contractual issues until a trade is imminent or completed. "We are Step 2 in the process," Arora said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "Step 1 is they have to get the trade set up....We are not going to be the sticking point. Now, we aren't going to be taken advantage of, but we aren't going to hold anything up." Arora added he expected the team that trades for Jones will seek to restructure his deal at a lower salary with performance incentives. "The risk is minimal because he knows this is his last shot," Arora said. "You have a motivated player, and a team paying rock-bottom prices. Whether (the Titans get) a fourth or a fifth-round pick, what's the difference? So the risk factor, to me, is negligible." Titans | P. Jones to seek reinstatement Tuesday Sat, 12 Apr 2008 06:30:41 -0700 ESPN.com reports suspended Tennessee Titans CB Pacman Jones intends to apply for reinstatement to the National Football League next week. Jones' agent, Manny Arora, said Jones would seek reinstatement Tuesday, April 15, according to The Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Arora said it makes sense for Jones to learn his playing future next week, before the NFL Draft, so that teams can decide whether they'd want to trade for him. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl
I think he will be, but I hope that he isnt. I'm sick and tired of hearing about this guy. In my opinion, he's had too many chances already... get him out of here. its just a matter of time before he does something stupid again.
He's a hard guy to like and really I would hope we stay away from him, but he hasn't been convicted of anything really bad in the last year. Players have done worse and been reinstated, the NFL kind of has to be consistent here. I find that incident in the strip club very disturbing but he hasn't been convicted of anything in the shooting of the club employee so legally I think he case to be reinstated is pretty solid. A year minus salary is a huge thing to lose when you make what he does. Like I said I'm not a fan at all but the NFL has given worse people second and third chances.
